Okay, I said the wrong thing, sorry. I meant a two-hander, like a greataxe. My bad.AjimboB said:I'm pretty sure Viking Battle for Asgard let your main character use a battle ax for his primary weapon.Ultraman950 said:Actually, Dead Rising lets you use shovels. They even have a special attack.AjimboB said:A shovel. You never get to kill things with shovels. I mean, I would expect at least 1 zombie game to let me kill things with shovels, but NO.
Maybe it's me, but I haven't seen many games where the main character uses a battle axe as a primary.
Also maybe a pair of wakazashi.
Problem: ones you take off a bayonet you have a knife.bubba145 said:bayonets are underused. as well as sabers.
Are you suggesting there be a game where you play Andrew "Old Hickory" Jackson?RatRace123 said:I personally think that canes are underused, a good walking cane is a movement aid first and a personal defense weapon second.
Or at least that's how I feel, plus its a unique weapon used by Sly Cooper, and I love Sly Cooper and more games reminding me of it would be awesome!
Age of Chivalry. A mod or SOurce engine.timeadept said:I have never seen a mace and chain done, but someone mentioned that it might be difficult to animate? Idk it's obviously not as simple as a single solid weapon, it has many parts and if you take shortcuts it may just look like a solid weapon but i really have no idea.
Whips are a common utility or secondary/tertiary weapon. Rarely a primary weapon.Bonecrusherr said:Actually, for console players Whip is a common used weapon. (whip, or whip-like weapons)
Many platform games use this weapon to give their players a tool for swinging and killing monsters with close combat.
Games like Castlevania, God Of War, Darksiders, Bionic Commando...
Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines actually does. The best part is there is a certain power where you can have someone explode. You can pick up their (severed) arm and use it as a weapon. They aren't all that good but still hilarious.Gahars said:The arms of the recently deceased. They're great clubbing weapons, or so I've heard from very reliable sources. Seems like they're unrepresented in most pieces of fiction.
And you will wait for a while, because unless you're using them against the Colossi, whoever makes the game they appear in is basically saying "F*ck balance"KissofKetchup said:Flamethrowers.
I'm still waiting for a game that can accurately and realistically depict a flamethrower in action
That's actually pretty awesome, I must admit. Definitely sounds like a game I should try.crudus said:Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines actually does.
