Garriote, blackjack (saps), and stilletos (the midieval spike, not the auto-knife).
All would be excellent for stealth games, though seldom show up.

Well then this cannot go unmentioned:tellmeimaninja said:Too few games allow me to beat enemies into submission with a fish.
Rome Total War, Barbarian Invasion I think had a barbarian troop that threw poisoned heads as missiles. Good times. Overall, this thread has strengthened the resolve of my Dead Rising love because of the huge number of things that have been mentioned, and are available in Dead Rising. I would like to see a horned helmet that can be used as a weapon.TheBananaKing said:I've never seen a game that lets me use severed heads as missiles
Theif series is the only one I have seen with those.suicide samurai said:Garriote, blackjack (saps), and stilletos (the midieval spike, not the auto-knife).

No, and nor should they exist. Can you imagine all the people who accidentally nail themselves in the crotch?Zachary Amaranth said:Has anyone mentioned lightsaber-chucks yet? Because we should totally have more of them.
I'll do you one better: Experimental MERV. I think he would enjoy that more. I know I did XDNo_Remainders said:Fat Man in Fallout.Neonbob said:A nuclear _____. I would have fits if there were more nuke weapons in games. No matter how impractical they may be.
EDIT:
Jedoro's Ulaks would also be acceptable.
There, you're sorted.
Survival of the fittest. Anyone who nails themselves in the crotch probably shouldn't be breeding anyway.crudus said:No, and nor should they exist. Can you imagine all the people who accidentally nail themselves in the crotch?
there is a reason why it hasn't been used, cos the thing kinda sucks performance wise in realityVaderMan92 said:the gyro-jet pistol i don't think its ever been in a video game. saw one at a gunshow a while back and thought to myself "wow a rocket launcher you can hold in your hand, AWESOME"
Sun Ce uses dual Tonfas in Dynasty Warriors 3 through 5 (plus the spin-offs of course).Fenreil said:Feel free to tell me about games that have used tonfa.
Never Winter Nights 1 & 2, they're pretty good in pen and paper DnD (3rd edition), dual wield (vorpal, improved crit) kukri fighter/rogue is a staple build. Yeah NWN has basically the entire catalogue of DnD weaponry so its a cheap shot, but hey, there be Kukris. No tonfa's though.supersupersuperguy said:Kukris. Name one game, other than Team Fortress 2, where someone uses a kukri.
The same as my spear girl, Hilde from Soul Calibur 4, she's got a flag (pennant actually) on a spear + shortsword combo going. As for the rest of your list check NeverWinter and Fallout 1 & 2 actually includes thowing knives.Uzbekistan said:I actually haven't seen anything that uses a flag pole as a weapon.
I can point you to Shadow Warrior's Bunny Launcher though.TheBananaKing said:I've never seen a game that lets me use severed heads as missiles

Zelda TP used it alright. Aside from explaining where the hell you hide the thing. It wasn't the best weapon, it turns you into a walking tank that smashes things and can't be approached safely but reduces your speed to a dead crawl.timeadept said:I have never seen a mace and chain done, but someone mentioned that it might be difficult to animate? Idk it's obviously not as simple as a single solid weapon, it has many parts and if you take shortcuts it may just look like a solid weapon but i really have no idea.
It was done in Dante's Inferno. Hated tthe game, but the weapon was ok.DAOWAce said:Surprised yet also not so surprised to see so many mentions of scythes listed on just the first page. That's my vote, scythes. Most awesome melee weapon ever and if there's a game which has a wieldable scythe in it I get all giddy.
That said, there's a thread similar to this, but not specifically the same: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.156233-Weapons-You-Would-Like-To-See-More-Of-In-Games
Dungeons and Dragons Online. Is that too obscure to get a cookie for?supersupersuperguy said:Kukris. Name one game, other than Team Fortress 2, where someone uses a kukri.
Wario Land (or something like that) had a viking helmet which let you headbutt people i think...Mookalakai said:Rome Total War, Barbarian Invasion I think had a barbarian troop that threw poisoned heads as missiles.
