what do you expect when your only allowed to carry ninety fuxing bullets for it. i'd have traded in all my grenades for an extra amount of bullets... never used those things.Good morning blues said:Let's all admit it: the only reason anybody has ever used the SMG in Half-Life 2 is because they're out of ammo for the Combine Standard Issue.
Beam rifle wasnt bad at killing, I just dont like the way it 'felt' if that makes any sense. Something about alien weaponry just doesn't do it for me.sooperman said:Beam rifle pl0x?setting_son said:I never use any Covenant weapons - they're all flashing lights and silly noises. I'll save the covenant weapons until I'm drinking alone and want to pretend I'm in a disco, until then give me human weaponry any day...
When I said 'weapons', I didn't mean 'guns only'. Nailboards, swords, melee objects, all object where you can attack with can be noted here.Mackinator said:I have an oppostie to youre thread. I pick Lightsabers from SW:KOTOR.
The only bad thing about Star Wars Games are most of them have balls of plots.
Lightsabers need to be put in Halo or CoD Zombie Mode like the Raygun.
The M4 was a jack-of-all-trades. Plus, once I played through once, I alternated between shotgun, a supressed sniper and good pistols. All you need at the touch of the R2 button.Syphonz said:the grenade launcher (XM38 i think) in MGS4... Really, who used this when the M4 has everything you ever need?
Well I can't take your preference away from you, and yes, it makes sense for a weapon to just not roll the way you want it to.setting_son said:Beam rifle wasnt bad at killing, I just dont like the way it 'felt' if that makes any sense. I forgot about the carbine... it's pretty useful, does the job at least but I'd still pick a human weapon over it. You and I are like the odd couple, I expect we'll get our on cable TV show soon enough.sooperman said:Well I can't take your preference away from you, and yes, it makes sense for a weapon to just not roll the way you want it to.setting_son said:Beam rifle wasnt bad at killing, I just dont like the way it 'felt' if that makes any sense. Carbine really works for me, but only when I can pull of a headshot >_<
Thermovision on James Bond: Everything or Nothing did this, too. Lights gave off almost no heat, fire gave off very little(wtf) and enemies lit up. Really broken, but you could only use them practicly in the dark because they obscured your vision in the light.varulfic said:Technically an item and not a weapon, but screw you topic police.
The Thermal Googles in MGS3. It really needed to either stay out of the game or be modified to work realistically. The problem with the Thermal Googles in this particular game is that it's overpowered like crazy. It renders nearly every other item obsolete and removes all challenge in the game.
In the jungle terrain against camoflaged enemies, the thermal googles makes every enemy stick out like a sore thumb. In the same way, it makes you able to see the invisible boss (what a waste) and the sniper boss.
My biggest problem with it: The googles lets you see traps. Like, a string attached to a crushing boulder or a hole of spikes covered by leaves. Why the fuck does a freaking hole in the ground have a heat signal? That's retarded! The rest I can forgive, but that's so completely illogical.
Movie, maybe?setting_son said:I forgot about the carbine... it's pretty useful, does the job at least but I'd still pick a human weapon over it. I actually disagree that it was "pretty good." It's so inaccurate that it's only really effective from the same range as the shotgun, which only takes one or two shells to kill a Combine trooper as opposed to the SMG's ten or twelve bullets. I like it for killing manhacks and not much else, and the gravity gun is a better choice even for that instance.Flying Dagger said:what do you expect when your only allowed to carry ninety fuxing bullets for it. i'd have traded in all my grenades for an extra amount of bullets... never used those things.Good morning blues said:Let's all admit it: the only reason anybody has ever used the SMG in Half-Life 2 is because they're out of ammo for the Combine Standard Issue.
and actually the smg was pretty good, but i agree with the person who joked "crowbar" because no one uses it for anything else than breaking boxes, and once you get the G-gun, most people just use that.
It was just slightly overpowerd in HL 2, i just ran up and killed everyone and everything with it.jboking said:While I am a serious HL2 fan, I can see a good argument to be made for no more crowbars.Ben Legend said:Crowbar in Half Life 2...
