Take it back to the beginning and read it through, i haven't kept up in a while, but i used to follow it like a soap before i went to uni. An american manga about two gamers who end up in japan.

Funny and really quite clever. Will appeal even if you are not in the slightest fond of japan ;]

Okay, my normal list would be:

Daily Dinosaur, Achewood, Toothpaste for Dinner (and other Drew comics), XKCD, SMBC, Questionable Content, Nothing Nice to Say, Overcompensating, Joe Loves Crappy Movies, HorribleVille, Penny Arcade, Fanboys, Slackers, Chainsawsuit. There's also a list of comics that I read without actually enjoying doing so, but I can't be bothered to write those down.

CircleVersusSquare [http://www.circleversussquare.com/?ID=1] A bit like XKCD.
Copper [http://www.boltcity.com/copper/index.html] A bit slow on updates, but they should be poster art.
Flipside [http://www.flipsidecomics.com/]
Kukuburi [http://www.kukuburi.com/2007/08/09/one/] Really trippy art style.Looking for group [http://www.lfgcomic.com/page/1] Really funny bad guy.
No Need 4 Bushido [http://nn4b.com/] Japan clumsy feud.
PostNuke [http://www.postnukecomic.com/] PostApocalyse, Very rough drawing style.
Interesting story, but slow on updates.
The Seraph Inn [http://www.seraph-inn.com/index.html] Inverloch and The Phoenix Requim. Top quality art and a great story. Inverloch is done though.
The Book of Biff [http://www.thebookofbiff.com/] (almost) everyday a new funny short.
Zap [http://zapinspace.com/d/20030713.html] Good story, his art really improved since the first comic.
Subnormality [http://www.viruscomix.com/] Found it recently. just strange and funny.
Trying human [http://www.introducing-emy.com/th/home.html] Area 51 and an alien with feelings.

And some more already posted here, like XKCD, The Zombie Hunters, F@nboy$, VG Cats, Ctrl + Alt + Del and The adventures of Doctor McNinja.

Hah! Yes! Seconded. I read through all of it in one sitting as I was feeling bored... It tailed off a bit towards the end but it was actually quite amusing for a lot of it; very pleasantly dry and sardonic.

Also seconding the recommendation for Looking for Group. A bit wordy in places, and the storyline is a tad... err, convoluted, but Richard the Warlock is brilliant, mostly as a result of being utterly out of place.

edit: Also, this:

I realise this may mean nothing to most of you, but if you have a knowledge of 40k and the forum community thereof it's quite amusing
(not sure if non-members of warseer can view that section however, and they're having server problems so I can't log out to check... May not work; sorry if it doesn;t)

Favorites are Cyanide and Happiness, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, Mildly Hot Peppers, and A Simple Apology.

Anyone who thinks the Rooster Teeth comics are even remotely funny or well thought out, are on drugs.

Dresden Codak is cool and weird. If you like XKCD then you'll most likely enjoy Dresden Codak.
I dunno, I found "Hob" to be really dizzying and nigh unreadable.

I'll throw out support for SMBC, and Questionable Content. Schlock Mercenary is another definite must. If you enjoy EGS, you'll probably also like The Wotch. Others I would suggest, in no particular order: Dominic Deegan, Misfile, Girl Genius, Buck Godot, Exterminatus Now!, Flaky Pastry, Roomies/It's Walky/Joyce and Walky, Least I Could Do, Looking for Group, Order of the Stick, Erfworld, and Finder's Keepers.

The sad thing is I read about three times that number.

Some that haven't been mentioned yet:
Kate Beaton's webcomics. The art isn't great, although there's something intrinsically funny about the way she draws people, but the humour is consistent and rare. And excellent.
www.firmanproductions.com- this guy does a great webcomic about a hapless, yet sometimes surprisingly wise, funny-looking guy called Moe.

Kate Beaton is awesome beyond all reason...

Awesome and very Canadian, you'll learn more hilarious things about Canadian politics from her comics than anywhere else.

"Lester B. Pearson you are too nice to be prime minister."

Cracks me up, really.

Questionable Content is utterly lovely. Read it, you'll see. It's been going on for ages.
Ugly Hill is utterly hilarious and looks quite interesting. It'll make you laugh.
Something Positive is quite possibly the first webcomic I ever read. It's been going for ages, and is one of the funniest out there.

Oh, and http://www.samandfuzzy.com is rather funny, if you enjoy things like Ninja Mafias.

Garfield Minus Garfield is really disturbing. It's good but you probably shouldn't read it if you're single.

Lesbian Pirates from Outer Space is actually a really good LBTG comic.

Zot Hearts and Minds is the most creative use web comics I've seem. I would put it as a must read.

Hidden robot has some free (sponsored by the publisher) print comics including Grounded,
Powers, and Invincible Kabuki, and Popgun.

For a more serious comic there is Fishtown http://hottencolden.livejournal.com/13015.html

Schlock Mercenary
Girl Genius

They're both more to the "graphic novel" end of the webcomic spectrum, in that they tell ongoing stories instead of just one-punch panels, but they're favourites of mine not mentioned above. (Schlock updates daily, GG on Mon-Wed-Fri.)

Order of the Stick [http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots.html]. Just... Order of the Stick [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/XJustX].

Also try Venus Envy [http://venusenvy.comicgenesis.com/], an excellent comic, a mix of comedy and drama centered around a real issue.

I'd also recommend EGS and xkcd, but I see you've already read them (excellent taste on your part)... so I'll recommend Head Trip [http://headtripcomics.comicgenesis.com/], a pretty good one I just started reading.
