Weird Habits you Have

ill discuss strategy for a game with myself. ill agree or disagree with myself then brainstorm another idea with myself. and ya i cant keep my door open i have my back to it i dont like the feeling that someone could sneak up behind me.

The door thing I definitely agree with. As for the strategy... I've done it maybe twice before. And both times involved levels I had tried to beat countless times, but failed miserably.

I also crack my knuckles and right wrist.

I open my mouth as wide as I can so I can stretch the corners of my mouth. Doesn't really make much sense.

I'm incredibly impulsive and I also have slight OCD. So there are a several different rituals, or whatever you want to call them, that I do.

I also don't like open doors, especially when I sleep. I also talk to myself out loud sometimes, it's awesome when someone hears or sees me.

When I have toast, I always have four slices.

If I eat skittles, I eat them in order from Yellow, Green, Orange, Purple and then Red.

I must have my bedroom door closed or I can't sleep. I also have to have my fan on, have to have my two dogs in the room, and have to have some sort of noise when I go to sleep. If I don't have noise, it will take me a while to go to sleep. I will sleep in silence if there is someone in the bed with me but that is the only time.

I crack my knuckles, neck, toes, knees, just about anything I can crack.

I have to have my iPod with me or I will freak. I might not use it or listen to it but I have to have it with me.

When I crush on someone, I go to their Facebook page then tell myself I'm a freak and close it. Then repeat the process at least three more times.

I do that too. I feel like a stalker when I do it.

I have to clip my fingernails very short. As in, if there is any white showing at all, it has to go. I HATE my fingernails. If I was trapped on a desert island without nailclippers, I'd probably end up gnawing my fingers off.

Also, I need some sort of background noise when I go to sleep. Fan, nature sounds, outside traffic, whatever. Trying to sleep in silence is nearly impossible for me, since my brain goes crazy without some sort of ambient sound to focus on.

i tend to forget i have a lot of them. here is what i can remember at the moment.

-i point using my little finger
-i must have clean hands
-my hands by default rest in a position with the little fingers and thumbs bent backwards
-i cannot stand still. i can sit still, but have to walk rather then just stand
-i rest my head at an odd angle (habit was formed after i sustained a minor neck injury)
-i have to turn off lights in empty rooms. otherwise it drives me insane, even if i know the reason for it

cant remember any others right now.

I can't sit still, I always plan ahead and get annoyed if something goes wrong and I hate having scruffy hair, always have to have it neat, whenever possible.

I must have some sort of backround noise like a fan or furnace going on at all times, I become utterly terrified in dead silence (I only feel uneasy when I'm doing something else and there isn't any backround noise), I literally start shaking (and some friends have said that I actually turn white). I don't even know why I get so damn scared in dead silence, I just do.

Also, I shuffle back and forth on my feet when standing.

I check my watch, compulsively, even if I'm not wearing it I'll check the pale area where my watch usually is.

I have to take a glass of water to bed. I never ever drink it, but if I don't have a glass there, i just lie there feeling thirsty until I go and get one.

I will constantly check my cell, looking for texts, calls, time, watever. THough I think a lot of teens my age do the same.

I was thinking about how uncomfortable it is to sit in my room with the door open so that if the door is open, i dont just know, but actually feel that its open and it makes me very restless, and i was wondering if im the only one that has to have the door closed no matter what or any other weird habit or obsession other people have.

I'm the same. I wouldn't mind my little brother coming into my room as much if he'd just CLOSE THE FUCKING DOOR WHEN HE LEAVES!!! That's why I yell at him so much. It's the same with any door really, but I spend most of my time in my room (or outside, but it doesn't bother me then), so that's where it happens the most.

Also, when I'm sitting down, especially when there's music playing, I have to tap my feet. I can kinda resist if there's no music though..
Sometimes it annoys other people, but hey, I have ridiculously toned calves because of it.

do you mean tapping as in with your heel up, because alot of the time when im sitting down i do that alot and when i realise im doing it i stop and a little later my other leg starts to do it.
