im afraid that i will wake up one day and not be in the place i fell asleep
That happened to me once. I was EPIC tired having not slept the night before, and fell asleep on the couch around 8pm. I woke up in my bed... no-one had shifted me there. Epic creepy.

I have a deeply rooted fear of:
The wizard of Oz
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The sword in the stone (The cartoon version).

I'm not entirely sure why but it's obscene just how afraid I am of these movies. I can't even be in an adjoining room because I can hear them on the T.V.

Hmmm, I wonder why. Ever thought of looking into why the movies scare you so much?

I am scared of the dark and whatever is or isn't, lurking within. I know it sounds childish and silly for some, but, my husband works nights and I am in the house by myself (& my active imagination) and the house is older with vaulted ceilings. It makes noises when it settles. It always seems to want to settle right when I am dozing off. I then sit up and think, "What the fudge was that, and is it trying to kill me?!" I try to gauge the sounds by my dogs. They bark if there are people that they think are far too close to the house, but, don't even twitch an ear at other noises. If I am scared enough, I just, stay up and that really starts messing with my schedule. I try to read my books, listen to music, watch a slow movie, or...don't judge me...use a nightlight; that's in the shape of the Leg-Lamp from 'The Christmas Story'. A present from my aunt-in-law.
I'm with you on the fear of the dark. I keep a torch on my bedside table for going to the bathroom at night.

Caramel scares me at times. I think it's going to stick my jaw permanently shut, or it'll get stuck in my throat.

I've thought about it sure, but never really delved too deeply in to it. One part laziness, one part cost and, really, I don't know if I want to know why.

Don't know why.
Me too, I sometimes think in my head "I know you're listening" and look around to see if anybody reacts to see if they're reading my thoughts. If that's what you meant.

I also fear that walls I lean on for too long are going to consume me.
OMG I do that too :p

I have an irrational fear of spiders. I once got stuck freaking out royally in my bathroom as one teensy one was sat about an inch from the doorhandle. It was about 2 hours before someone could hear me shouting to get out.

I don't understand why or where it came from, but either way, I used to be completely fine with them. And then suddenly I started getting all these weird dreams and I just can't seem to deal with them anymore. I tried to get close to some at London Zoo once but a meter was all I could manage before my legs refused to move closer and then when my friend tried to push me towards it I just absolutely refused to budge.

I'm surprised noone else has said spiders, it seems like a relatively common fear!

OH
And you know those stilt walkers dressed as clowns? They freak me OUT. Nothing should have feet that small and be that tall, ever. I avoid at all costs.

As far as irrational fears, I use to be afraid of dragon flies when I was about 4 (until I realized they didn't have stingers or mandible like wasps or ants do).

Later on I developed fear of something lurking in the water, which isn't so unusual except that most people realize how unlikely that is. I'm a Floridian so anywhere you swim besides a pool or bathtub usually has something that can eat/bite you lurking beneath the surface; most Floridians don't care though lol

I also developed a fear (between 7-12 years old) of wolf-looking monsters lurking in the forests and marshes near my old home. Though I have to admit this one was not just inspired by Gmork from The Neverending Story or werewolf films lol, but I really did see a large dog-coyote thing (5x large than normal) outside my window one night peeking in at midnight (I was 9)and it scared the crap out of me.

Silly fears... hmm..... besides the dragonfly one I'm not sure.
I use to be afraid of this girl in elementary school would growl at me (she thought it was hilarious) and for some reason it sent me running every time (geez, I was like 5 lol). But other than that I've never had an acute fear of clowns or anything like that.

I am going to be very anal and say: a fear is always justified and a phobia is not. For instance, you can have a fear of sharks, or a phobia for balloons. The difference being that fear is rational and the phobia is not. So there is no such thing as a silly/weird fear, but there are plenty of silly/weird phobia's.

Spiders kinda creep me out, but I don't run away screaming whenever I see one. Hmm, I don't really have a phobia I guess.

Spiders.......I can't look at pictures, see them in movies and the worst is magazines!

When flicking through a book or magazine and there's and article/section on spiders with pictures everywhere I immediately drop it, use a long instrument(usually my hockey stick) to close it and it goes in the bin.

Every time i see one my heart jumps a few beats, I skip a couple of breaths and my hairs stand up!

No idea where it comes from as I used to be fine with spiders.....then I watched that arachnophobia movie when I was about 12 and it's been downhill ever since. Even tried looking at pictures of spiders on-line, etc. to desensitize myself but that doesn't work lol

Oh and needles! Not so much a phobia but I have a huge fear of them going too deep, hitting a bone or breaking off inside me!!

Stemming from my arachnophobia, I have a completely irrational fear that the dead spiders that have been flushed down the toilet (not by me, mind, I'm too terrified of them to kill them...) are going to come back to life, crawl out of the toilet and attack me in my sleep.

I wish I was fucking kidding...

This seems like it would make pooping an issue.

Same here. I think, dad, I know you're listening. Please cough now so I can make sure you hear me. I just get really paranoid like that.
