The sound of metal scraping on metal. It makes me grit my teeth and want to incinerate all metal items.

Hm... I think that's all that comes to mind. Sadness...

People leaving stuff on. Taps running, TVs on standby, car engines running when leaving the car for a short while, or leaving lights on when they're not in the room. I have no idea why but it gets on my nerves, but it does.

Also, when people dont put my shit back where they found it, or dont put my CDs or Games back in their cases. They're my damn CDs, the only person who is allowed to leave them lying around is me!

Comic books and graphic novels which bold the words at weird times giving the word a weird unecessary emphasis and spell check, it lowers my self esteem to see how often I get the spelling of a word wrong and it has to correct me but it won't tell me how to spell it CORRECTLY! Edit2: And people who don't understand the difference between England, Britain and the United Kingdom. Edit3: And people who use poor grammar like starting sentences with "And". Edit4:people who say "bro" Edit5: People who edit things way too many times.

People who do accents completely wrong. That isn't Irish. That is German. Stop now, or the Gods will make me kill you.

I am becoming more and more aggravated by the sound of other people eating, to the point where I wish I could eat by myself the entire time. Even if its something they can't overly help given whatever they're eating, it drives me fucking insane.

That "cutesy" sound that people making by lightly ticking the end of their tongue makes me want to fucking punch them too. So irritating!

The term "just a theory" and the use of the word theory when the person means hypothesis.

The non-word irregardless, mostly because it is used by people that are trying to sound smart.

I share that peeve mostly because people call me out for "not reading" when the spine of the book I am reading doesn't look like crap.

I.[HEADING=1]hate.[/HEADING]that noise.
I share that hate. That sound makes me cringe, like nails on a chalkboard.

Kids singing in unison... For some reason it really annoys me...

People who use curse words at incorrect times or frequently... People don't seem to realize its an art...

Dogs barking at something, but not even looking in the general direction of whatever they are barking at... So lazy...

Loud, sharp noises. Throw me off balance
Dog whistles. I can hear some of them, and they make me fall down.
Perverts. What you do on your time is your own business, and when you make it mine, I detest you.

To compound onto the first thing that you said, i hate when they bold the title when/if it shows up in the text. Yes, we understand that the writers are very clever for getting the title in there, but it is just one of my weird pet peeves, with the exception being if it is called out by someone inside the work. (Hello hypocrisy).

P.s. remove the old from your brackets for bold.

High-pitched scratchy noise and people who spell my name wrong.

I can understand if people mispronounce my name (it's mostly Norwegian so it's understandable), but having it misspelled just irks me to no end.

When acquaintances (Usually women) say they 'love me.' And then we get into the awkward silence as I kind of just grin and hope they (she) doesn't expect me to return the sentiment. They (she) always does though.

Seriously, I've only said I love you to one person that wasn't family/someone I was sleeping with. Strangely enough, a guy (And I meant it.).

Jesus Christ! I couldn't resist listening... and... ARGH!

I too have that hate, and I think it runs in my family, as both me and my sister cannot stand the sound. What's worse is that our fruit is delivered weekly in a styrofoam box, and my famil can't resist rubbing something against it for my 'personal enjoyment'.

*shudder*

When people ask "hey, are you on steroids?"
It annoys the shit out of me.
I also hate getting accused of stuff bc of how I look. People always assumed I smoked pot, but the irony in your case is that if they see you get annoyed they will probably just assume you are on steroids no matter how you answer.

But for me it is loud ignorant people, was already kinda ninja'd but w/e.

Whenever I go to Kroger and I buy a Kit-kat thats still whole and I sit it down on the counter, the cashier picks it up and scans it and then throws it down, breaking it into pieces. That pisses me off to no end..

I fucking hate it when people do the "Tsk tsk" sound. I hate it with a passion.

It's so goddamn haughty and pretentious when people do it, as if somehow they're superior to me when they disprove of something I did.

Also, when people don't type fast, it bugs me when I know I can type 10x faster than they're doing right now but I'm too nice to go "Here, let me type this for you".

I hate it when people get out of the passenger side of my car and leave the seatbelt all tangled up. Or they close just the one vent along the passenger door.. so I have to reach waaaay over to open it again. grrr
