I'm playing Pokemon HeartGold right now, and I just encountered a trainer holding a LV17 NIDOKING!!!

Lemme say that again: A LEVEL 17 NIDOKING.

Nidokings are usually created at level 36 or so.

Nidoking:

And right after I beat the Nidoking, he pulled out a level 17 Nidoqueen!

I was playing God of War 3 and I'm in the Caverns for the first time, sorta starting on forming the labyrinth but not knowing what's goin on other than there are a lot of large wooden blocks. So I'm on one block and in the distance I can see another. I mentally calculate that If I time my jump right and us the Icarus wings I can make it and hopefully there'll be a secret there. If not I'm screwed but at least I did something. So i jump, land square on the box, and die. Apparently the game didn't like that box.

Well, since you get Nidoking by using Moonstone, and Nidoran (M) evolves to Nidorino at lvl 16; a lvl 17 Nidoking is not impossible, just a stupid choice.

Aren't Nidokings and Nidoqueens evolved by the Moon Stone? So, technically you could have any level of them higher than that of their previously evolved form. But, even so, the trainers in Pokémon games usually do have weird levels of Pokémon that ordinarily aren't possible according to the rules that you, the player, must follow. Darn hypocrites...

As for me, I'm quite angry because I just leveled an entire city to try and find 2 giant ninjas, but they were not there; I spent nearly 15 minutes looking for those dang things, but they just flat-out weren't there!

EDIT: Oh, it was in R&C: Up Your Arsenal, by the way; I always hated playing as Giant Clank.

Yeah, I realized that a bit after posting. Level 36 is when I usually evolve my Nidorino...and I do have HeartGold already. I also have SoulSilver, too! (My current team, if you're interested: Geodude, Pigeotto, Jirachi, Quilava, Togetic, and Weepinbell. I refuse to build my team with pokemon I can't get at level 5 or lower at the start of the game, or near it)
