There are occasional alien abductions, but beyond that, nothing out of the ordinary.

I live in Florida. Maybe you've heard of it. It's the state that couldn't figure out how a hole-punch worked in 2000. The state where dead people routinely vote in Miami elections. Where you can drive down the highway and regularly see either a) a car on fire (seriously, they catch aflame more than the drummers of Spinal Tap) or b) the state police with rifles out staring ominously into the underbrush. This is the state with the Ernest Hemingway Lookalike Contest. Where two giraffes and an orangutan went missing after the last hurricane a few years back and were never recovered (how do you lose one giraffe let alone two?).

Seriously, go read virtually anything by Dave Barry on Florida's weirdness. It's a very surreal place to live.

the only wierd things that i know of is my dad. he will fall asleep infront of the tv with it up at like 80 volume but some how cant sleep in his bed if there is a party 1-3 houses down because of the fairly quiet music that makes it to our house.

and then will either yell from our house or call the police. i just dont get it. one time he got a shovel and was smashing it on the fence that goes between our house and the back door neighbours. well 5 min later the neighbour was out the front of our house smashing the letter box. i thought it was my dad out the front. i asked him what he was doing and he came over and shoved the shovel through my window aimed at my face.

ah fun times.

I live in a quiet country town in Australia, about half an hour from the nearest city, and about an hour and a half drive from Melbourne. And all manner of bizarre things happen in the lovely quiet street that I live in.

When I was about 3, playing in the front yard, a crazy guy from a few houses down got it in his head to prop under a tree by the road and aim a shot gun at me. My mother spotted him and started walking toward him, he aimed at her, she kept walking, he shit himself and ran away. Was later arrested.

There's a house 2 doors down that when I was little was an empty block, but had a house moved onto it about 15 years ago. And no one normal has ever lived there. They've always been very strange (and not in any good sense of the word). One person who lived there though, stood out from the rest.
He and his family wouldn't even wave to people when they waved, wouldn't talk, would just stare at you. The brother got sent to a foster home after raping the younger sister (I don't know why he wasn't arrested, I was 9-10 when it happened and didn't really get what was going on).
One of the neighbors lawn mower caught fire on a really hot (38 degrees Celsius or something around there) day, and his paddock caught fire, and he stood on his back step watching as it went toward his chicken coop. My father went in and grabbed a hose and started fighting it before the fire truck got there. Never said a word to anyone, went back inside when the fire truck got there.
More recently (a couple of years ago now), the daughters ex showed up and attacked the father with an axe, cutting his ear off. When the cops/ambulance showed up, they couldn't find the ear. Then one of the cats showed up with it hanging out of it's mouth.

A couple of years ago our neighbor (David) on the other side of our house asked us to keep an eye on the place, because he suspected his wife had been cheating. One night we noticed a ute driving up and down the road slowly, and then it was parked at the end of the road and the guy started walking up. My mother was walking her friend from across the road home, and they saw him. My mothers friend being quite up front approached him, asking who is was and where he was going. He panicked and kept trying to get past to the house saying he was just a friend. One of her sons who was 16-17 at the time saw some guy near his mum, and flipped out. He come running over and the guy said 'are you David?' and mums friends son said 'yeah, who are you'.. This stand off lasted for a minute, until the son proceeded to beat the crap out of this 36 year old man. Needless to say, the marriage split, and that guy never showed up again.

There's been other things, but those are the most memorable.

Other than the whole band of weird crashing noises outside my house, the gate repeatedly opening itself in the dead of night and on some nights the sound of something stamping on the roof there was was the time two of the stupidest criminals in existence were arguing outside my window. They were up to some sort of drug deal and they were talking so loudly it wasn't funny, then things got really amusing when the deal finally happened and other guy suddenly screamed at the top of lungs "THESE ARE FAKE I'LL HAVE THE COPS ON YOU!" followed by various death threats and the sound of a car door slamming, it was quite hiliarous when I think about it now.

I live about 30 minutes north of Brisbane, Australia.
It's just a normal suburbian town, nothing creepy and eerie about the place to add effect (soz guyz). In my house at night time whenever I sleep in the spare room, I always dream about this certain old woman. I have no clue who she is, and I never dream about her when I'm in another room. When I wake up I feel eyes on me (paranoia?) and there's always pressure on my feet at the end of the bed.

I often see shadows go past the door if there's a light on outside, and my whole family hears children playing up and down the hallway.

I was a pretty huge skeptic before I moved into this house, but now I really think there's something paranormal to it.

I just keep thinking it was the previous owners or something. None of them appear to be threatening or anything.

Wow, I sure do feel loopy.
