My favourite thing about the Spore Launcher is that it seems to like Shephard, if you sit idle for a while he will stroke it and it will wiggle and make happy noises.

The Worms Armageddon game had an airstrike where you could rain flaming cattle upon your enemies. It also had exploding senior citizens as walking time bombs and literal bouncing "carpet" bombs. There's also the Holy Hand Grenade but credit goes to Monty Python for that :p

Not really in a game but one of the weirdest attacks I've seen in the Gomu Gomu no Baka from One Piece.

The guy makes himself in to a total idiot so that his opponent cannot use an ability to predict his future movements, making it impossible to land a strike. Unfortunately by being so stupid he is entirely unable to attack, therefore making the technique pretty useless.

There is also a certain incident later in the series where a man has his testicles crushed in an attempt to get him to join their pirate crew. But that'd probably make some people uncomfortable.

This isn't video game related but I just have to bring it up cause it's simply too majestic to leave out of this thread...

Ok now for the video game related.

Isaac Clarke's Hand Canon.

Luigi's final smash. I have no idea what he's doing, but it sure is mesmerizing to watch.

I remember the Banana Bomb & Donkey from Armageddon as well! And the Mole Squad, and the Ming Vase, and the "Postal Strike" which was hilarious but the wind tended to fuck it up... and a Salvation Army gypsy or something like that, also exploding.

I instantly thought of this.
It's hilarious and is rather clever while being satirical.

I'm not sure if the weaponry in the Ratchet and Clank series counts, but it sure is entertaining. I mean first, there's the Morph-O-Ray, which when fully upgraded, turns people into giant, explosive chickens. Then there's the Black Sheepinator, which turns people into explosive black sheep. Then there's the Quack-O-Blitzer, which goes through multiple stages during the upgrade process, the final version of which turns one enemy into a near invincible flying duck that homes in and slams enemies, and transforms all other enemies into explosive ducklings that lay explosive eggs.

That's just the transform rays so far.

I can't quite remember the name of it, but in A Crack in Time, you use a creature strapped to a firing mechanism that has sonic burps. That was good for a laugh.
And then there was the Golden Groovitron, an unlimited ammo disco grenade that forced your enemies to dance. You could then proceed to laugh at them, or kill them.

Anachronox gets a bit kooky when it comes to abilities you can use in combat. One of your party members - which is a FREAKING PLANET if I may add - has this stare down ability where it enlarges itself exponentially and looks down on the enemy to intimidate it. Also, the old man Grumpos in your party has the "yammer" ability where he talks his opponents to sleep.

They also successfully made it really weird with a Mexican wrestler party member that specializes in punching people to death, which feels pretty out of place yet is absolutely glorious in a full on sci-fi game.

South Park for the n64 has a cow cannon that shoots exploding cows, but if you get a headshot with it, the other player's screen is just completely covered with cow ass for like 5 seconds as it slides off their face.

I don't think anything tops Hyperdimension Neptunia's Keiji Inafune Sword. Yes, you heard me right. You use Megaman's Creator as a sword. I mean a real life photo of him too. It's Bizarre, to say the least.
Yeah, that pretty much tops anything I could think of. I've seen my share of weird weapons, but that is just beyond bizarre... and awesome.

Not in a game, but an anime. Slayers, to be specific. Sort of a rambling, D&D inspired action-comedy thing. Anyway, there's this one point when the heroes come across a 'pacifist city' ruled by a 'pacifist king', and they're all wondering how such a city isn't constantly getting curb stomped with all the monsters and bandits and evil dudes with magic powers and whatever. Well, a group of bandits overhear, and get the same idea, and they kidnap the pacifist king to randsom him. So the protagonists go on a mission to rescue the king, and when they finally get to him, well...

PACIFIST PUNCH!!!!

KINDNESS TOWARDS ALL CREATURES KICK!!!!

And the king just demolishes the very confused and distraught bandits on his own. Best moment of 'I don't think that word means what you think it means' ever.
