I just got this captcha.

How would you even go about typing that? I don't even have a triangle key!

What's the weirdest captcha you've ever seen? I'm sure there's grounds for hilarity here :)

I once got a captcha that said troll here. I laughed so hard, it was like the captcha was working against them.

Yeah, I don't have a delta key either. I've also gotten pi, omega, sigma and lambda before.

My question is why the captcha people programmed the thing to include Greek letters.

The other symbols in the captcha are there to confuse bots. You can type any thing in place of the symbols. That is how I do it.

I got one in CHINESE!
I can't even type that!
I don't have ALL the keys, only some.
And my captcha just called me an idiot and a con.
Woo.

Never got math, but damn, would it be cool if I did. Imagine being told by a captcha that you need to write the wave function or something to be allowed to post XD

I once got one that said "Idiocy Ensues". I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair and messed up the springs in my bed.

Not quite. The ReCaptchas such as the ones used on this site consist of 2 scanned words (both distorted to confuse bots), one of which has a known translation.

That's the one that's verified by the site to prove you're not a bot. The other is an unknown word from a scanned document. What you type isn't checked by the site the captcha is on, but does go to the creator of the recaptcha. Basically if enough people agree on what it says, then that's used as the correct spelling, from the original document.

The example above is clearly part of a mathematical forumla, and you've got no way of even typing it :)
