I was (and still am, don't know why) afraid of sleeping with my shoulders not covered by either my blanket or clothes. I just don't like it >.<

and after a different dream i was scared of looking out of a window at night incase there was something staring back at me.
I got that too! Nothing worse then the thought of some face suddenly showing up. *shivers*

The Whammy from Press your luck! That and the zombies for Michael Jackson's Thriller music Video.

Also The Fly: seriously that movie still scares the fuck out of me

I was scared of the sound of public toilets flushing. They were so much louder than the ones i had home and it scared the living crap out of me.

Also, I saw the matrix when i was 7 and after that, I was afraid that my parents were secretly aliens and the whole world was fake.

Something like this also happened to my cousins kid. He saw inception when he was like 8 and after that, he'd always carry a top around and spin it occasionally, to check if it were a dream or not for a few months.

People moving in pictures while I wasn't looking - or worse, while I was looking. At night I couldn't have books sitting near me face-up if they had a face on the cover, just in case I looked over and saw them watching me.

It really didn't help that dad had a print of this hanging just outside my room:

I don't know about a weird fear, but GoldenEye 007 made me wake up crying from a dream where I got shot. I clearly got over that, because I'm now a proud gun owner and plan to start carrying concealed once I get a handgun and permit.

My weirdest fear as a kid was being murdered. While it isn't a particularly strange fear, I had a surprisingly accurate understanding of what death was at a young age. Besides that, I was scared of unfinished basements. They are the settings for most of my nightmares to this day.

I was terrified of gorillas/big foot/yeti, etc. I used to have nightmares on a regular basis. However, I was also somewhat interested in the whole idea, so I'd watch documentaries or something and then suffer nightmares because of it!
That happened a LOT to me. I'm scared, but Interested. So I watch TV Shows and Documentaries. I then proceed to not fall asleep at night for the next two days because I think that even though I'm on the Third Floor of my house and at the farthest end of it, as well as being in a more populated part of town, a bigfoot would come and get me at night.

Tornadoes.

It was to the point that i couldn't sleep on windy days.

I got over it though. Now my fear is burglars.

Was scared of as a kid?
I still have a huge fear of somebody touching my bellybutton. I also am scared of spiders but that is less strange.

Redead from Ocarina of Time.

It took me a year to beat the Shadow Temple...
I had had HAD to leave the room every time my dad tried to beat Bongo-Bongo. And he kind of sucked so... this went on for quite awhile.

Since then, I've beaten that game dozens of times and STABBED that one-eyed ************ in the eye more times than I care to remember.

Strange Lights or Noises.

Granted I grew up on a farm, so any unfamiliar noise or lights meant that there was something wrong or there was a trespasser on the property.

When I was seven, 'Jaws' gave me a phobia of deep water that I still have.
I couldn't watch 'E.T' because his glowing heart scared the crap out of me. I still haven't seen it.
A Bigfoot movie gave me nightmares, and so did 'Gremlins'...

Other than irrational fears caused by movies, I was afraid of the dark like most kids.
Not because of the darkness itself, but because of what might be lurking in it...

Edit: Also, I'm terrified of needles, and I don't trust myself with knives anymore.

Really, really, really tall ceilings. One of my earliest memories (thought it may not be real; I have a lot of false memories...I think) is of me being scared by a tall ceiling. Dunno why.

I'm also claustrophobic. Not weird, but how it came to be was weird...got my head stuck in a laundry chute. Epic fail.

I clearly recall being terrified that a tornado was going to randomly appear in the hills above my house. I'm fairly certain I even tried preparing for it's eventual arrival...

I had nightmares about these floating-spawn-from-hell, and was afraid they would come out of the toilet if I flushed. I was a fucked up kid because of that film.

I used to think there was a skeleton at the bottom of my sheets. Like where the sheets fall of the edge of the bed. So I would keep my legs up towards myself because then it wouldn't be able to get me.

Totally forgot about that until recently.
