T-Rexes. That's what happens when you watch Jurassic Park when you're 5.
i was worse... in grade 7 i had a legitimate fear that a t-rex would randomly walk down my street (in the middle of nowhere) and eat me, having just seen jurassic park... i didn't sleep... granted it was only for about a night or two before i realised i was being completely stupid and got over it, but still...

I don't really remember being afraid of things when I was kid, but I used to have really fucked up dreams. Looking back I still find most of them really scary.

Clowns also but that's not a weird thing to be afraid of. They're fucked up. I punched one in the face when I was eleven because he squirted me with his stupid little flower watergun thing. Parents never took me to another parade.

I was thoroughly convinced as a kid that when I was the last one to go up stairs that the minute I turned out the light a Werewolf would appear in our living room and I had to FLY up those stairs to the top or he'd kill me.

Also, I was afraid of hands crashing through the steps and pulling me under the stairs.

And finally, I felt that if I was swimming in our pool by myself, that the second I turned around with my back to the deep end Jaws would appear in my pool and eat me.

Kind of odd now that I think about it...

Oh. And this.

I am damn near 30 years old and I still cringe when I think of this...

Believe it or not, I was always afraid of looking directly up. I'm still not 100% sure why but I guess it was because I was worried something would fall and crush me. Whether it was looking up tall ceilings or buildings or just the big open sky, I was always afraid to look up. Hell, I still get dizzy and nervous whenever I look up. It's like reverse vertigo.
Still happens to me. Sometimes I go out into the field by my house when the sky is completely clear and stare into the sky for the rush. Only happens when theres nothing in my line of sight (tree tops, clouds, buildings, etc) but its scary as hell

I hated going into a bathroom when the shower curtain was closed. I always thought some alien or monster was hiding behind it, so before I'd take a piss I'd open the curtain to make sure nothing was going to kill me.

I thought a tornado monster was going to come out of the room next to mine and get me. Which is the reason I sleep with my door closed. I believe I picked the fear up from those tornadoes with faces from Paper Mario, in the Dry Dry Desert.

Alians, damn history channel gave me that one.

Also the basement at night.

Now the 1st fear is irrelevant, 2nd I'm over. And I've gotten over my fear of the dark, and have embraced it.

No, it doesn't make any sense. Disney is scary, OK?

I was afraid that something I saw or heard could be a hallucination.

Mind you, I never had a hallucination, I was just paranoid that I could have!
How do you know you never had a hallucination? Anything you perceive could technically be a hallucination. Maybe you saw a bug that wasn't there, or couldn't find a pencil despite staring straight at it. Creepy huh?

When I was a kid I used to take my sneakers apart and underneath the soles there would be little holes from the manufacturer and I always believed that little creatures lived in those holes.

Yes no basement at night! I still don't like to go to the basement at night. T_T

haha mine is an odd one. As a kid, besides the general fear of some heights, spiders, darkness etc I had this particular fear with a sort of Bubble.

I loved Bubbles and making some with those little toys you fill with some soap. However every time a 'double-bubble' emerged it freaked it me to the extent I had to keep out of my sight. Not sure what to call them. But you know, 2 of them stuck together what not.

What a strange fear. Though I suspect it looked alien and deformed to me.

King's Quest 6 instilled a fear of catacombs and undertows into my brain. Oh, and people with glinting, golden eyes.

Ever since I saw a movie with gore in it (not sure which) I would picture my throat getting slit, so every time I see a large amount of blood or realistic gore I immidiatly cover my neck.
Just a little something to know about me :3

My teeth falling out. I still vividly remember a dream I had as a child. I was in my grandparents bedroom in front of a large dresser with a mirror on it. The mirror is oval shaped, about four feet in diameter. And my teeth start feeling loose, and I pull one, and it comes out, I pull another and it comes out. By the end I've pulled out at least half my teeth, my mouth is bleeding, and I'm looking at myself in the mirror horrified. I think I was about 6 or 7 when I had that dream. I still have dreams about my teeth coming loose actually. I guess my teeth have always bothered me... my Mom brings up the story occasionally about when I lost my first baby tooth. Apparently I told her "Don't you think it bothers me that my teeth are falling out?"

Also had a freaky dream staying at my grandparents house where I saw the Hamburger Helper glove looking through the window at me while I was trying to sleep. That was when I was 6 or 7 as well. The really creepy thing was when I told my older brother about it when I was 15, and he said he used to think he saw the Hamburger Helper glove staring at him through the window in the same room when we stayed there. Must've been the branches and the moon or something, but two siblings seeing the exact same thing gives me an eerie feeling.

Guy Smiley. The game show host from Sesame Street.

When I was 5, I had a dream where I called him stupid (that's a HUGE insult for a 5-year-old, lol), and he stopped his show, looked at me through the screen with eyebrows in "Angry face" mode, jumped through the screen and started strangling me. I'm 28 now and STILL remember the dream...and also my son watches Sesame Street and I am always a little on edge to see if he shows back up, lol.
