Super Mario Bros. I mean seriosly, you're a plumber, saving a princess from a giant lizard, who has tortoise and mushroom minions, and you kill them by jumping on them + all the other freaky shit I'm too tired to mention.

First I want to do an honorable mention, that being Glover. You play as a magical glove brought to life and have to transport a ball that you can magically change the shape of through a level. Oddly kind of a fun game. This is a weird game, but I actually think its decently well known.

And the weirdest game I have ever played, Mort the Chicken for the PS1. You play as a chicken and you try to save chicks from alien creatures using things chickens do, such as pecking and gliding. Oh yeah the alien creatures are cubes. Just cubes. Different ones are different colors, but they are all just cubes. Its a really weird game.

I guess that would be Rhythm Heaven (Rhythm Paradise) to me since some of the minigames are bizzare.

Psychonauts was a bit weird, with that milkman level, and that guy who was always smiling and talking about killing you or suiciding or something. The last level was a bit nuts too.

That game looked weird. I was curious about it but never played.

OT: Starfox is a pretty weird game if you break it down. I mean, a fox and rabbit working together as a team? I don't think so.

It's pretty good. Hack'n'slash platformer with some really unique environments. Story's a bit of a mindfuck, the areas aren't all that connected, but everywhere looks cool, and while the combat is a bit repetitive, it's not so long that it outstays it's welcome.

Weirdest in most aspects: Katamari Damacy.
Weirdest in enemy design and music: Faxanadu. Seriously, put that stuff in a survival horror game and you won't sleep for three days.

I played a little of Samurai Zombie Nation once. That was certainly a unique experience.
NAKED ZOMBIE SEAN CONNERY!
i actually owned the game when i was a kid and beat it. out of all of the games mentioned so far, this is the weirdest in my opinion.

earthworm jim is definitely up there, and so is another NES game called abadox, about a guy in a suit invading a gigantic technicolor biological creature.

katamari damacy is definitely weird, but has some logic in it. zombie nation, not so much.

There are quite a few weird games in Indie section of the Xbox game marketplace. I don't remember the names of any of the ones I've played but there have been a few weird ones in among those games.

Aw.
It was very pretty though, wasn't it? I could spend so many hours playing that game for the imagery alone *-*

Yes, I'm that kind of guy.

I love it, but it's totally bananas.

There is an online indie game called Samorost, which is extremely surreal. I love it though.
They made another game called Machinarium, which I believe got ported over to the Wii and the iPad. I played it - it was also amazing.
