Over the years of gaming, I've seen quite a few different forms of money. I've seen bottle caps, radioactive crystals, meat, and various others...What do you think is the weirdest form of VG currency you have seen?

You mentioned my favorite already: Meat.

Gotta love the Kingdom of Loathing.

I would have to say the FF gil. i mean, i can't recall a single game where you actually see what gil looks like. seriously, is it just coins? paper money? actual fish gils?

bottlecaps are probably the weirdest.. since it's post apocalypse, I'd figured they'd use something more tangible... like food or water or something like that..
but bottlecaps are good too I guess

also G... just.. g
what the hell is it!

Munny. I mean, it's clearly different from money, but how...?

Its mystery confuses and disturbs me.

Bottle Caps. Ever since I've played Fallout, I started to collect bottle caps. In hope that, when the nuclear apocalypse arrives, we'll at least have some money to get by.

Earthbound didn't have an odd currency, but a strange system, which is sort of relevant.
Kill enemies, call father on payphone, father transfers money into your bank account.
Also, Kid Icarus used the hearts of enemies as its currency.

Thank you. I was hoping someone would say bottlecaps so I can explain the perfectly reasonable explanation behind their usage as currency.

1. They're easily recognizable.
2. There's a large, but not infinite supply of them.
3. They're very difficult to counterfeit.
4. They're convenient.

Bam.

Dagols from Radiata Stories. It's just a funny ass word, funny enough to where I actually break out laughing every time the word is said. That and Gil from the FF series.

Zenny from Megaman Legends. Though you actually got to see what the hell it was. Giant ass power crystals, that are used to power everyday items. Hell some of them were bigger than the plot centric ones.
