Headcrab zombies. they are messed up. a parasite latches onto you, carves your skull open, and siezes control of your body, whilst leaving some poor guy inside who's reduced to crying and wailing 'OH GOD HELP ME, HELP ME'. Now THAT is creepy. every time I see one of them lumbering towards me I imagine if I could recognise the tattered clothes of someone I knew on its tortured form and it makes me shudder.
For much the same reason, the worm parasites from system shock 2 are bad. even worse for how clearly they speak, but they don't look visually as ruined as headcrab zombies, poor wrecks that there is truly no hope for.

Yeah, i second that. It can like, fly, AND walk, AND swim... so why doesn't it just ALWAYS fly? It's not like anything can hurt it. Oh and also it looks like the cloverfield monster which gets it weirdness points in my book.imperialwar said:

Looking at the Silent Hill monsters, I have to wonder whether the guys that made the monsters were on some sort of drug or if they just had really...vivid imaginations.
Not really the scariest in terms of looks, but the Chainsaw guys from Resident Evil 4/5 always scared the crap out of me. It's something about the tension of a guy with a bag over his head, carrying a chainsaw, and being resistant to bullets that just did me in.
