Deegan stopped tapping. As three others proceeded out of the basement, he began to follow suit. The plan sounded good enough to him, but it felt like there was a lot more planning than there was acting. So instead of waiting for more small talk, he decided to act. "My ol' beater can hold three others. Monica, Raul, and Magic'll go with me." He nodded towards the three before making his way towards the stairs. "Deegan, play smart." Sonia reminded. "I will." He was gone. Granny looked towards his future teammates. "Keep an eye on him. He's got a personal grudge against the Conquistadors. Make sure he doesn't get himself killed, or worse." She told the three. They confirmed before proceeding up after him.

"David," Granny turned back to the boy. "You've known me for how long and you're asking this question? This wasn't a spontaneous decision. I've had the time needed to properly craft out this whole ordeal. Last week's bombing was just the act needed to set everything into motion. Have some faith, okay?" She smiled a tiny smile. "Now y'all get going. I need to get dinner started."

Outside, Deegan spotted the trio of others, two conversing at the guy sitting inside a real nice car. Or, at least it was better looking than Deegan's car. He called out to the three as he walked to his car. "I'll lead if y'all don't know how to get to Howie Towers. It's not that far from here. We'll go in through their parking lot. It'll be a shorter walk into the buildings than parking out on the street." He said, having to do a little extra work to shut his door. The three traveling with him piled in as well. "You said you brought stun grenades with you, right?" He asked Monica as the engine in his car sputtered to life. He might've had an idea.

Milli looked at the gear she'd picked up, and shrugged. I'll get this home later... Setting 'her' stuff in a corner, she made her way over to Granny's collection of body armour. Several minutes later she emerged wearing enough armour to seemingly take on a tank. She then pulled her tac-vest on over top, and filled the pouches with loaded AK74 mags, and moved her CZ to a thigh holster.

Slinging her new 74 over a shoulder, she loaded a few 50 round belts for the KORD into the catch-all bag, before hefting the big .50 up with its shoulder sling. SWEET DONKEY FUCKING CHRIST! Fuck I'm glad I'm in good shape! Slowly, she made her way upstairs and outside, where the others were. "Yo!" She said, walking over to the skinny guy who'd offered her a ride. Dropping the butt of the MG onto the sidewalk, she lent it against the Nova. "This your No-Go? Nice...I've been trying to convince my dad to sell me his '68 Shovel for a while now...considering how much work he did to it, it's a shame to see it just collecting dust."

Visually, Monica wasn't impressed with Deegan's car...ok, she actually thought that it would fall apart the moment the engine started. She sincerely believed that it could happen, especially considering the amount of work it took to get his door closed. Still, she got into the front seat, willing to go off of a little faith, having infinitely less trouble closing the door on her side. The seatbelt however...

"You said you brought stun grenades with you, right?"

"Yeah...i think. Hold on a moment..." Monica said as she looked through her satchels and pockets. She didn't have to dig very far to find some...though she only had a small amount compared to the others. In truth, she had just grabbed them after she pointed them out to Deegan, just in case he needed some...guess he needed some now.

Still, she wanted to know why he wanted them now. He didn't seem that interested before...then again, he had been preoccupied with a redhead manhandling him. He probably didn't have the chance after that.

"I got a few...how many do you need...actually, or should i say more importantly, why?"

More people started to come up from the basement by the time Drifter finished his cigarette. He threw the butt on the ground and unlocked his car so they could all pile in.

"Hey, sweet ride. Betcha can cause some real trouble with this baby."

"Thanks, I've been in some real trouble too because of this car." Drifter said as let them all pile in the car along with unlocking the trunk once he saw the redhead walk to the car, carrying the machine gun on her shoulders. The driver of the other car called out to him, taking three others in his own car.

"I'll lead if y'all don't know how to get to Howie Towers. It's not that far from here. We'll go in through their parking lot. It'll be a shorter walk into the buildings than parking out on the street."

"Sounds good, lead the way." Drifter called out. Then finally the redhead arrived and by the looks of it, she was ready to take on the entire army.

"Nice...I've been trying to convince my dad to sell me his '68 Shovel for a while now...considering how much work he did to it, it's a shame to see it just collecting dust."

"Yeah that is a shame. Put that gun in the trunk and let's get going." Drifter said as he put the key in the ignition. The car roared to life with the engine sounding like it belonged to a truck rather than a muscle car. He revved the car up and it responded kindly with a sharp growl of the engines. Cherry was raring to go and so was Drifter.

My ol' beater can hold three others. Monica, Raul, and Magic'll go with me.

Deegan, play smart.

I will.

Keep an eye on him. He's got a personal grudge against the Conquistadors. Make sure he doesn't get himself killed, or worse."

Looking after the man who had called for 3 people then at the old woman and the young woman who talked about playiung smart in a raid and about grudges Magic shakes his head. Following to the car and stepping in he moves to the back and sits back against the seat and the door, watching the rest of them pile into it and shifting around a little uncomfortable at the feeling of the daggers in his back and the hard pole between his shoulder blades along with the weird shape of the tomahawk head against his shoulder blades and against the bottom of his neck.

Wiggling around slightly his eyes get glued on the girl digging through her pockets for stun grenades, and pulling some out before even asking why they may be needed. Looking at the other 3 magic feels the need to raise his voice and make sure they understand one little thing.
"Um... As fun as a head on assault of someplace we have never seen and never been and haven't scouted sounds. I'm not build for head on clash's and i in no way grabbed anything for it. Before we go in i can make sure their power goes out of something like that but in the fight itself im going to be in the back making sure we have like 3 seconds warning in case someone comes up from behind with like a rocket lawn chair. And maybe pulling someone closer to ask them with nicely with a knife in the shoulder about anything we may need about the next path or level."

Monica quickly presented the weapons Deegan asked for, confirming his suspicions. "...How many do you need...actually, or should I say more importantly, why?" She almost seemed to eagerly push them into his face. "Oh, wait, I don't need 'em now, I was just curious. I figure a stun grenade could be one of the easier way to get the jump on a group of mooks without too much collateral damage. Just a idea I had, we still gotta see how the variables play out." His lip curled as he shrugged. As he began to back out of his parking spot, one of the guys in the back seat, Micheal, added his own opinion on the situation. "...Someplace we have never seen and never been and haven't scouted sounds..." That little snippet of info stuck out the furthest to Deegan.

"Wait, really?" He turned in his seat. "You've never been in a apartment building? Y'don't like, got any friends or family members that live in one?" He wasn't trying to insult the guy, he was more curious than anything. "Is it just me? Huh." He faced front again. "I've been in both buildings a bunch of times. And they're completely simple and identical in design." He chuckled at the thought. "No, like seriously. Other than like, the ground floor, both buildings are super plain. Long narrow hallways with two staircases (and like, a seldom corner here and there) on opposite ends, and two elevators in the middle. Apartments on both sides of the hallways." He rolled out of his parking spot as he talked, slowly riding up to the cherry red Nova. He rolled the windows down as well.

"And the buildings got like this L shape goin' on, both kinda like, facing in opposite directions. Nothing special. And I know for a fact that they have security cameras. I mean, not a lot, but enough for you to notice. Like, some out front, some in the lobby, and some in the back. And the camera room is like, right in the lobby on the ground floor." He chuckled again. "S'kinda funny how they used to have 'em, like the door was always open, like they were flaunting the fact that they had some sort of security. They probably keep it closed now, but I still know which room it is." The Nova was on the passenger side, its driver still waiting for his own passengers. "'Scuse me a bit Monica-" He had to stretch over her bit, getting out of the window to make sure his voice could carry over the rumbling growl of the muscley Nova.

"I'm gonna make a u-turn! Howie Towers is like, right up the block!" He called from his awkward position, understating the distance of the objective. As he sat back into his seat and put the car back into drive, he had a thought of what his Grandmother said earlier. "Lemme get your number, Monica." Now on the other side of the street, he brought forth his cell phone. "Yours too, Raul. When we get to the building, imma go in first, and take out the security systems. Y'all should stay in the car until I actually get 'em off. Cuz i'll be honest, y'all look like y'all're about to go to war. And anyone watching the cameras would find that a little suspicious." He exchanged glances with his car buddies. "Either they're overdressed..." He looked down at himself, remembering that he completely skipped the body armor. "Or maybe i'm just underdressed." He muttered aloud.

"Yeah that is a shame. Put that gun in the trunk and let's get going."

"All right-y then." She replied, hefting the HMG around and the car rumbled to life. After a bit of a struggle Milli got the big KORD squeezed into the Nova's trunk, along with its ammo, before making her way back forward and flopping into the passenger seat.

"I'm gonna make a u-turn! Howie Towers is like, right up the block!"

She rolled her eyes as Deegan's beater moved off. "Actually it's a bit farther than that..." She said to Drifter. "But I know where we're going, used to date a guy that lives there." That brought up some sour memories. With any luck one of 'em will blow Carlo's head off. "There's a nice wide, and long, alleyway that'd be prefect for you to wait in...oh, I'm Milli by the way, or 'Sweet Molly'." She said. "I answer to both."

"Lemme get your number, Monica."

'A tad forward?'

"Yours too, Raul.

'What?'

"When we get to the building, imma go in first, and take out the security systems. Y'all should stay in the car until I actually get 'em off. Cuz i'll be honest, y'all look like y'all're about to go to war. And anyone watching the cameras would find that a little suspicious."

"Oh," Raul said quietly, "Hold on. Sorry... what's your face." Raul opened his briefcase again, this time pulling out a small backpack. And out of the backpack, a hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans, plus some gloves and boots. Raul went about covering up his kevlar outfit, trying hard to not bother the kid next to him. Lord knows he looked uncomfortable enough. Raul had a car like this once, so the familiar feeling of rusty springs poking his back through armor wasn't so bad.

When he had managed it, he looked himself over with a frown. The suit was some wet-work bullshit, so for the most part it was at least sleek. Still, an odd bulge here and there made it look only a bit suspicious. He rested the briefcase underneath him, looking through the backpack. A few tools for getting in, and a rag to wipe off blunt weapons. Plus an old flip phone he had for some reason. Raul gave his number, settling back into his seat for a bit.

"Oh, wait, I don't need 'em now, I was just curious."

"Alright then..." Monica said, stuffing the grenades back into her satchel. Deegan's plan sounded simple enough and should be workable in most conditions...but he still seemed concerned about it not working correctly due to one thing or another. She didn't see what variables would cause such a simple plan not to work, especially if, as he said, the rooms were near identical...but she supposed that one of them had to be, just in case something did come up and stop them. Besides, if he was looking out and making sure that his plan worked, it freed her up to keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't go too insane on them when it did work.

She didn't seem to mind Deeg squeezing by to shout at the other car, and in truth, she wasn't...save for the fact that Deegan wasn't seeming to pay attention to the road. It was his next words that got her attention again...

"Lemme get your number, Monica."

'Eh? isn't that a bit too fast? We just met not an hour ago.'

"Yours too, Raul."

Ok, now I just have to wonder what the hell is he planning? And which one was Raul, anyways?

"When we get to the building, imma go in first, and take out the security systems. Y'all should stay in the car until I actually get 'em off. Cuz i'll be honest, y'all look like y'all're about to go to war. And anyone watching the cameras would find that a little suspicious."

Oh.

She felt a bit silly for that...still, at least she found out who Raul was once she looked back and saw the guy start reading off his number to Deeg. She pulled out her own phone afterwards and started reading off her own number, after Deeg had gotten Raul's number. She checked her texts afterwards, making sure her brother hadn't texted her yet. He hadn't...but she didn't doubt that he would eventually so she sent him a text saying that she got the job before putting her phone away. After all, she didn't want him texting her about it in the middle of a fight.

"There's a nice wide, and long, alleyway that'd be prefect for you to wait in...oh, I'm Milli by the way, or 'Sweet Molly'."

"It's a pleasure..." Drifter said as he peeled out of the lot, following the one in front. "Just call me Drifter."

Despite what Milli had said, Drifter still followed the one in front. Drifter thought he caught the man's name. Deegan was it? Drifter was never really good at names but faces and locations he'll remember like the back of his hand. Even with Milli's name, one look at her and he could pick her out from a crowd. As they proceeded down to the apartments, Drifter spotted the alley that Milli referenced earlier. He spotted Deegan's car stopping in front of the apartment building so rifter backed up into the wide alleyway and turned off his engine. One car wouldn't be suspicious but two was going to get some eyes on them, especially with his car.

"Alright, pile out." Drifter said as he got out of the car. He peeked out of the corner, looking for Deegan. He wanted to know if the guy had any plans about getting inside. Obviously he knew the buildings better than he did and anything was better than nothing. "Okay, I'll set up here. Get to Deegan's car and see what he's up to. Milli contact me with this."

Drifter fetched the walkie-talkie he took from the woman's basement and gave it to Millie. "I got a two-way in my car, stick to channel eight, okay?"

Milli took the radio, set it to channel 8 and tucked it into her vest, then shook her head. "Umm, if I go lumbering across the street dressed like this, some wetback is likely to spot me and realize something is up." Raising a gauntlet-ed hand, she pointed at an abandoned Econline van, sitting at the curb, not far from the entrance to the alley. "Once they start moving, I'mma stuff myself into that beater. I'll have a good field of fire on the approach, and the element of surprise...any 'help' won't know I'm there until I open fire."

" I'll have a good field of fire on the approach, and the element of surprise...any 'help' won't know I'm there until I open fire."

Drifter glanced at Milli's outfit, realizing his mistake.

"Alright well maybe someone not as conspicuous can go to Deegan." Drifter offered instead, checking his pistol as he did so. "Either you or you." Drifter said motioning to Diamond and Chloe as they got out of the car. Diamond looked alluring with her outfit so she might draw some attention but Chloe wielded a carbine and a assault rifle which could make things a little hairy.

"Actually..." Drifter said, an idea sprouting up in his head. "Milli, use your cellphone to call Deegan. You know the family, right?"

As the two cars made their way up the main street, Deegan could see the others break off from his rear view mirror. Seemed they opted to take a different route, backing into an alley way facing the duo of apartment buildings. "Cool. We can have people on both sides of the buildings." His thoughts were optimistic as he continued up the block. He took a left, went up another block, then took another left. Deegan pulled into a fairly large lot, full of mostly old, rusty busted cars. With a overly customized lowrider here or there. Most of which were coated in various shades of yellow. At the end of the lot, was the flat back side of both buildings. Deegan managed to snag a spot at the end, one stopping inches away from the building's brick walls. "Alright. Be right back." He put the car into park before hopping out.

Instantly, he located the entrance he talked of, a broken down threshold that actually lacked a door with a flickering exit sign up above it. "Well, there was a door there at one point..." He ran up to the entrance, and poked his head in. There would usually be people loitering out and around here. Wasn't the case this time, luckily. The entrance led into a little corridor. On the wall adjacent to the entrance, were a set of stairs, ones that undoubtedly let to the upper floors. There was a door past the stairs, at the end of the corridor.

"And that leads to the lobby." He approached the door, and slowly entered the lobby. It was quiet, empty, dirty. The elevators lined the same wall as the corridor door. "Hmp. Where is everybody?" As he anticipated, he spotted the lobby camera, the one facing right at him. He paid it no mind however, as he spotted the room he came here for, the one on the far right wall of the lobby. It was closed. "That plays in my favor."

He approached the door, and knocked. A heavily accented voice called out. "What?" Deegan could only assume it was a Conquistador, so he put on his best Chicano accent in attempts to answer. "Ey esé, you're shift's up. Let me in." It was a horrible attempt. "What the fuck? Who the fuck is that?" The voice on the other end sounded more offended than anything. Deegan hesitated. "I-it's-a me, hombre! Mario!" He slipped into the wrong accent, brandishing his tazer as he talked. The man, now fairly annoyed, opened the door to give "Mario" a piece of his mind. What he found however, was a tazer to the chin.

Stunned by the electricity coursing through him, Deegan took the chance to collapse one of his batons. kay-RACK! Metal went across the gang member's cranium, doing double damage as he bumped into the threshold. He slumped down, unconscious. "T'wasn't too hard." Deegan muttered, stepping over the guy. As expected of a camera room, it was filled with monitors and VCRs and other various cords and electrical equipment. Sitting in the guy's swivel seat, Deegan made sure to eject all the VCRs, most definitely containing the recording footage of the overall surveillance.

"Alrighty, let's get rid of this-" He smashed his way through the little black recordings, unraveling and ripping through the coils of black magnetized tapes. With his objective complete, he took out his phone.
Code:
"Mission complete. Y'all start making ur way to the building."
He exited, running his way back to the broken entrance. He stood at the doorless threshold, signalling to his partners of the clear coast.

Milli had to call Sonia to get Deegan's number, but once she did, she passed it to the others who had cell phones. Finishing the last minor gear checks, she looked around the car and couldn't see any obvious Conquistador look outs. "Well guess I should get into position."

Levering herself out of the car she retrieved her HMG, and ammo, from the trunk before lumbering her way to the abandoned van. Climbing in through a rear door, she pulled it shut, before deploying the bipod on the gun and resting it on the dash. With her guns primed and ready, she had nothing to do but wait; in the silence she began to quietly sing to herself. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OL7DED8huak]

Monica sat in the car, looking around and hoping that the mission was going well. This mix of boredom and concern distracted her just enough to suprise her when her phone decided to momentarily go insane, buzzing like a wasp and vibrating around in her pocket. She quickly scrambled to pull it out of her pocket and checked the text, trying to stop it from making that annoying buzzing noise.

"Mission complete. Y'all start making ur way to the building."

"Alright. Seems that worked out. Come on guys, let's go raise hell!" Monica said, hopping out of the car and closing the door (not slamming, don't want to break something after all). She stopped for a moment, realizing something, before turning around to Magic and Raul and saying, "Adenndum: Let's go quietly raise hell, since i momentarily forgot that bit."

She turned away and sprinted over to where Deegan was waving from, her bags jingling a bit as the metal of the grenades bounced against each other. She really wasn't too worried about the grenades falling out or one of the pins coming undone, after all, if they were to be used in combat, they would be subjugated to what she was doing anyways, and she doubted that the army would use them if they could be set off by such conditions. Monica got up to him quickly and standing next to him while she waited for the others to catch up.

"Alright. Seems that worked out. Come on guys, let's go raise hell! Adenndum: Let's go quietly raise hell, since i momentarily forgot that bit."

Sliding out of the side door and looking after the girl with the clinking bog Magic shakes his head. Not running but walking with slightly hunched shoulders and long steps. Moving across the road quickly but not going to draw the eye of anyone looking out the windows above. Moving faster once he is on the side of the building. Sliding between Deegan and the door jam Magic walks across to the open door and peaking in winces at the wrecked machines. Sighing softly and resting his forehead against the door jam he walks in and pokes through the broken pieces, using his knuckle and spreading the pieces around to look through it. Grabbing a small SD card and looking it over he pockets it before turning back to Deegan and whispering across the hall.

"You should have left the equipment alone. I could have used it to guide you along the halls and away from groups."

Reaching back Magic knocks his knuckles on the breakers on the back of the wall.
"Should i shut down the electricity for the building?"

"Adenndum: Let's go quietly raise hell, since i momentarily forgot that bit."

[sub]"Hell yeah."[/sub] He whispered, scooting out his side, legs emerging practically bursting out from the opened door. He did a drunken looking stumble out of the car, quickly fixing himself up. He pulled his hood up and followed a bit behind his crew, going into "quiet mode." His steps stopped making noise, and he changed his breathing to small and rapid breathes. A quick slump of the shoulders and the guy might as well have been invisible.

He squeezed through the door second, pulling his hood down a bit more when he saw the camera. Mostly out of reflex. He looked around, and picked the stairs to the upper levels. This would be fun, he told himself picking his crowbar off his belt.

Daryna was willing to continue the conversation with the car jockey, but when the excitable punk girl from earlier showed up, she allowed her to dominate the conversation. There was no need for pleasantries on this mission, it was clear from Baba's speech that this was too be all business. That point was hammered home with the arrival of the red head who brought an arsenal that would have put Kyiv to shame had they still existed. Somehow she managed to fit the entire load into the stick kid's car, but with 4 people in there it was a cramped ride over to the apartment towers.

While the newly christened Milli and Drifter got acquainted in the front, Daryna took one of the seats in the back with the punk girl and spent most of the ride staring out the window. Ugh. Why Baba send us on trip within first minutes of meeting? I'm really no dressed for this. Especially not for low profile. Outfit will get blood all over it and ewerything. At least car is not coming. I might be able to keep quiet in this. Keep Slava from unnecessary heat.

As they got out of the car in front of the Towers it was clear that Diamond was even more overdressed for the occasion then she figured. Of course, slums. Make perfect sense. Milli had a quick convo on the phone and passed her a number, which had to be to her kid. It was quickly filed away in the memory banks as the two looked to set up shop in front of the towers. Milli moved to a nearby van while Drifter remained with his car. The other girl was doing something in the back, it was hard to tell. I will not be waiting out here like sitting duck.

She took out her twin TTs and left her rifle and the Rohrbaugh in the car. "I do not wait," she informed the three she had arrived. "If kid say good to go in, I go in. I be real quiet like." With that declaration, she turned to the complex, hoping to get inside as quickly as possible.

"You're right Granny, you're right. Just can't help but worry though. This is big, would hate to see it lead to something worse than what we already got. Bad as it is now." With that he left the building. He spoke to nobody in particular.

"Not really dressed for a car ride, unless you guys plan on me trying to pass off some bullshit about how deer suddenly learned to build and operate an APC. So I think I'll take the trunk, just try not to take any jumps or crash through a fruit stand on the way there." With that he opened the trunk of Deegan's and climbed in leaving it just ajar enough that he could see out and held it in place for the ride over.

Once at the building he waited for the go ahead before climbing out and making his way to a beat up scaffolding right next to a brick wall. He climbed up and set himself up that he had over watch of both buildings and the parking lot. It wouldn't be the best cover in a firefight, but it would let him get one hell of an opening shot in before everything truly hit the fan. He had already joined the line by the time he was ready and spoke to everyone else through the line.

"Alright I'm ready to rain hell on anybody the Conquistadors decide they want to bring in for back up. I'll be able to keep in distracted if and when it all goes to shit. Oh and whoever gets to the twins, please shoot each of them once for me. They fucked me over on a deal once and I never quite got over it."

Seemed like Deegan's little troupe of freedom fighters were ready to venture deeper into the building. But as Micheal rushed into the building and into the camera room, he asked a question. "Should i shut down the electricity for the building?" He called out from his position, the question easily carrying across the empty lobby. Such a query caused Deegan to ponder for a second. Would that really be a good idea? Visibility would drop considerably. And the instant blackout would definitely bring cause for a commotion throughout the building. People both normal and gang related would be coming out of their houses, out in the hallways and using the stairs, and that could complicate things. But, the idea could possibly help them get out of a sticky situation somewhere in the future.

"Uhhhh...no. Not yet. Later, maybe. If we need it. I'll text you." He replied from the door, cupping his hand around his mouth to make sure he got his answer out. Turning back into the corridor, Monica and Raul seemed raring to go, Raul even taking the incentive as he proceeded up the piss-drenched staircase. "We'll start on the second floor." He kept his voice down, and warned for the others to do the same. "Your voice will echo like crazy in these stairs if you're loud enough." It only took but one flight of stairs before coming up to the second floor entrance. Another shoddy door, this one with a grime coated window. Deegan peered inside, and could make out a sole figure with a yellow bandanna, his back turned to the door. He opened the door gradually, preparing his baton for another takedown. CRRRrreak! The door went. He forgot about that.

The startled gang member spun on a heel, presenting the assault rifle he held in the process. Deegan took off, closing the gap between the two in less than a step. He smashed the guy's fingers in his gun, causing him to yelp and loosen his grip on the weapon. The rest of the barrage was like a blur. He collapsed the second baton, cracked it against the assailant's kneecap, and brought the other one across his face to finish him off. And all this time, he could hear a collection of others conversing around a corner to his right. He began to sidle that right wall and motioned for Raul and Monica to follow, the three carefully poking their heads around that corner. Sure enough, there were a moderate number of armed Conquistadors, pacing about the hall.

"See, this is why I thought of stun grenades." He reached into Monica's bag and produced one. "Like so." he released the pins, and the safety lever flipped off. Tossing it around the corner, they could hear it clatter as it bounced along the vinyl flooring. "Eyes closed and ears covered." Deegan reminded. Before one Conquistador could say "Whoa, what the fuck?!", the flashbang exploded. "That's our cue! Let's go." He brought forth his bat and sprinted forth, bounding off an adjacent wall. With a mighty downstrike, the bat collided with the skull of a bent over Conquistador, producing a sickening CRACK! that put the guy out of commission. "Let's make this quick, guys." He suggested before sprinting towards another blinded gang member.
