"You certainly took quite a beating didn't you, big guy?" Richard said with a grin, as he circled the hulking Spaniard's corpse and observed the injuries all over his body. "Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if you're still alive." With that said, he delivered a hard kick to the man's head, only hearing a bone-crunching crack and earning a frown from the boxer. "...Huh. Well that's disappointing."
Turning his attention away from the dead giant, he glanced around the parking lot scratching at his head. He had done as Granny asked, observing the actions of his comrades (namely Millicent), but did his own investigation shortly after they left the apartments, which yielded some very interesting pieces of information.

======Earlier======
In Roberto's room, everything was a damn mess. He couldn't tell if it was like this because of their escape, or if twas this way before they even arrived. Money, guns, and ammunition littered the floor, and the smell of coke was still fresh in the air, which nearly caused the boxer to gag. Over by what he assumed to be the head honcho's desk was a pile of paper, or at least the ashes of them. It seemed that the lot of them had been thrown into a pile and were either torn to shreds, or burnt to a crisp. Digging through the pile, however, had yielded a few semi-intact documents, with what seemed to be Roberto's own writing scrawled at the bottom of each page. Much of the writing was in Spanish, so it was all but legible to Richard.
=================

"At least I found something useful, I suppose." He muttered to himself, patting his pant pocket. "Still, hope she won't be too pissed off knowing that they escaped." Stepping around the bodies, he went and looked over the vehicles sitting in the lot. One of which, a Conquistador lowrider with it's engine still running. Granted, said car was riddled with bullets and had a few dead Conkies inside, but other than that it looked like it was functional. ...Somewhat. After carting the bodies out of the seats, he rolled out of the parking lot, and drove over to Sinclair's Sweets.
[hr]Later...

Having ditched the lowrider in an alleyway by the shop, Richard couldn't help but feel that he had forgotten something important back at the building. After a minute, he shrugged to himself and sighed, dismissing the thought and knocked at the back door.

"Hey hey, it's the mailman! Got a package for you!"

As Rich was let in, he entered to the sight of a lively dining hall, full of muck-covered teenagers. Once Granny noticed him come in, she took a seat at the counter, quieting the bunch down as she did. "Okay, tell me what happened. All the details y'all could find important. And I mean everything. Deegan and Raul confirmed the deaths of Matador, Ricky, and Gomez. What of the others? What other lieutenants did y'all take out?" Considering the kids made it back in such a timely manner, she would've assumed that they weren't done.

"Well...uh...I don't know about the other lieutenants but, uhh...Roberto might've got away." Deegan took the incentive, getting out the bad news first. Granny's reaction was less eruptive than he anticipated. "Hm." She leaned back in her seat. "Anyone else? Did any of the other lieutenants get away?"

"Maria escaped with Roberto, unfortunately. As for his daughter, she wasn't so lucky. When I last saw her, she was handcuffed to a chair with her ears were cut off, and her eyes were gouged out. Can't imagine who's handiwork THAT was," Richard spoke up, giving a "discrete" wink to Millicent. "Based on where this had happened, I imagine that Roberto had quite a nice view of his daughter's maiming. Aside from that, I also discovered another dead girl who seemed to have been in a hostage situation gone awry but, I digress."

Richard revealed the documents he had taken from the apartment, waving the folded sheets in the air in a fan-like motion. "I discovered these documents in Roberto's room. There seemed to be more, but the rest of them were unsalvageable on account of them having been burnt to ashes," He set them down on the table, and drummed his fingers. "Must be some very important stuff if he tried to destroy the lot of them."

"Did any of the other lieutenants get away?"

"I got Leon Torres on the highway." Drifter said, chewing on some gum he found in his pocket. "Most of their vehicles too. Did a number on my car though."

He motioned outside. Even though Cherry had seen worse, all the bullet marks and dings on the car took some glamour off of the car. Drifter started to recall the events of the day but his brain was muddled by the amount of pain he was going through right now but any hint of it was lost on Drifter's empty facial expression.

Once she got David seated, Milli went in search of something to drink. While she knew there was plenty of liquor upstairs, she also knew that Granny would skin her alive if she went up there looking like she did. This disappointed her until she remembered she?d stashed a bottle of something, she forgot what, in the restaurant.

While the others gave their reports to Granny, she disappeared into the kitchen. After rummaging about in the back of a few cupboards, she finally found what she wanted; a rather dusty bottle of Jack Daniels.

"Maria escaped with Roberto, unfortunately. As for his daughter, she wasn't so lucky. When I last saw her, she was handcuffed to a chair with her ears were cut off, and her eyes were gouged out. Can't imagine whose handiwork THAT was."

Walking back into the room as Richard started, she grimaced...he wasn't her most favorite person in the whole world. "Thanks Dick..." She said, as she opened the bottle and took a swig. "Steal my thunder why don't 'cha?"

"Based on where this had happened, I imagine that Roberto had quite a nice view of his daughter's maiming. Aside from that, I also discovered another dead girl who seemed to have been in a hostage situation gone awry but, I digress."

"Oh I made sure of it." She said calmly, finding a seat. "Called him up on her phone, got him looking right at me...didn't work like I was hoping though." She shook her head and drank some more. "You know how much of a daddy's girl she was, right? I figured he'd get good and mad, do something stupid, and we could kill his ass...but no he ran away. Probably took her awhile to bleed out...if he or some of his 'boys' had been fast enough they may've kept her alive." Raising the bottle to her lips, she shrugged; it was all moot now.

Richard shrugged, leaning back in his chair lazily. "Seems that they were more interested in saving their own hides. I guess you can't blame them. You can be pretty scary sometimes." He teased the redhead letting out a light chuckle, before noticing the bottle she had in her hand.

"I try." She replied, 'polishing' her finger nails on the bloody shirt she was still wearing. She was about to ask Richard why he was eyeing her, when he spoke up again.

"...Don't suppose you're interested in sharing some of that, are you? ...Uh, please?"

Insinctively she pulled the bottle closer, and was about to tell him to find his own bottle, then sighed. "Fine." She said, taking another pull before handing it over. "Dicky, you've been with Granny long enough, you mean to tell me you don't have stash somewhere around here?"

"Nah. I don't drink often enough for me to warrant having one in the first place." Richard gripped the neck of the bottle and took one large swig of the whiskey. Nodding, seemingly satisfied, he handed the bottle back to Milli. "I'm more of a Jäger kind of guy, but whiskey works just as well. Thank ya very much, cuttie."

Milli gave a snort of amusement as she took the bottle back. "This." She said, gesturing to the bottle. "Isn't whiskey...this is bourbon, whiskey's inbred redneck cousin. Normally I wouldn't drink this piss, but I really needed a drink, and I'd left this here 'cuz if something happened to it, it'd be no great loss." Richard smirked, but didn't bother correcting her. Same shit, different bottle after all. Taking yet another swig, she looked down at her clothes and made a face. "Some how I don't think this'll all wash out..."

Richard sighed, and gave the girl another shrug. "Well, I could see if I can find some clothes during my next patrol to replace 'em if you want."

"Thanks, But I'll be fine." She said, on Richards offer. "After we finish up I'll just head home and shower." Setting the nearly empty bottle down she stretched, causing her clothes to crackle as the dried blood cracked.

"Well, if you say so. Probably could go and do the same for the rest of these guys though. All of ya looked like you walked out of a slaughterhou-" The boxer paused, remembering that they were in a meeting. A particularly important meeting, at that. He lowered his voice to a whisper and turned his gaze back towards Ms. Sinclaire. "...Aaaannyway, [sub]we should probably stop talking. I don't want Granny to get me with the pan again. That thing stings.[/sub]"

That made Milli flinch involuntarily, and glance back towards the kitchen. Not only was Granny a deft hand with a cooking pan, but she was disturbingly accurate when throwing things like the big, heavy, soup ladles...and that was an experience that Milli would rather not repeat.

Satisfied they were done here, Chloe made her way back to the car. She could really use a pick-me-up right about now.

---

Once she was in the restaurant, Chloe went to get herself some coffee. She half-heartedly listened to the conversations going on around her.

Her guns were still either slung across her back or worn at her sides, but she doubted anyone cared about that.

Milli's brother was...interesting, to put it lightly. The smell and the driving skills indicated someone who probably should not have been on the road at that point, but whatever. He managed to get the two girls back to the restaurant in one piece, so there was no need to question the how.

Daryna sat back and nursed the headache that the Matador's pounding had given her. Besides, it was better to let the native English speakers give the status report from the Conkie raid, although hearing that the little slut Maria escaped was a bit disappointing. I would have murdered that ***** with her phony hair extensions. She got lucky. It appears that no one else seemed to know about what the Matador had told her.

Diamond held her head in her right hand as she propped her elbow up on the chair. "No won else? No won else notice Matador take punishment of thousand bears and still move? No one hear of dis? I lucky won he tell dey pump drugs into? Typical. No won find any drug thing either? Would have looked, but was stopping head from spinning after he slam into wall."

"I got thrown out a window. May have lost a few things. Sorry about that." Raul's comment made Deegan chuckle nervously. "Heheh...I kinda did too...Matador broke my bat and batons, and I dropped the Berettas when I ran out of ammo..." He mumbled as quietly as he could, diverting his gaze from his Grandmother if only briefly. "Seems all I have left is that revolver I never got to use. OH! And the tazer!" He whipped the device out as he thought of it. He made great use of the weapon, he reminded himself to thank his aunt for suggesting it.

"No won else notice Matador take punishment of thousand bears and still move?" Daryna's stilted speech brought Deegan from his thoughts. "I was gonna bring it up, just wanted to get the important news out first." He replied. Granny shifted in her seat. "Drugs?" Her already sharpened guise sharpened further as Sonia glanced at her mother uneasily. "Oh, uh, speaking of Matador, he ended up throwing Roberto off our scent. He got a good look at me and thought we were Royals." He put the vital news out into the open. Sonia seemed more relieved than her mother.

"Hm. What about the drugs, though? What did Matador do specifically?" Granny Sinclaire was more concerned about Diamond's comment. The drugs in question sounded like symptoms she knew all too much of. And she really wasn't appreciating the implications of said drugs being out in the open, and in the possession of opposing gangs.

Daryna didn't budge from her current posture. "Whatever we do, he keep moowing. I shoot in stomach, noting. Shoot in heart, noting." She was moving her free hand for emphasis at this point. "Shoot in neck, like point blank range, noting. He fall down four story balcony with keed, noting. Don't know what kill him in end, but I used lot of ammo and got no result for it, except to make difficult for him to go to airport." She leaned forward trying to remember specifically what the Matador had said. "He mention his drugs while slamming me into wall. I be all 'what the fuck?' and then he mention unstable...nano...nano-whatewers. It make him no feel pain."

"Sorry, only time I really saw Big Ugly, he was already staining the tarmac." Milli replied, finishing off her JD. "I did see some drugs when I was 'playing' with Ash..." Closing her eyes, she tried to think back to what she'd seen. "Let's see, there were a couple of bales of pot, a key or two of coke, a brick of heroin, and about a dozen or so bags of meth...nothing that would've kept him up and functioning after that much abuse."

"I smashed their vehicles during the chase." Drifter finally added in, spinning a coin on the counter as he listened on what the others had to deal it. "The drug runner's van was loaded with reefer and meth but that went up in flames when I was done with them. He remembered the chase and and how erratic their driving was. Drifter wouldn't be surprised if the occupants were also high on everything seeing as they were able to weave through the highway at such high speeds.

David had finished taking various pills without actually paying attention to what he was taking.

"Well I spent some time stabbing him again and again while getting thrown around like a ragdoll. So, you know, that was fun as all hell." He looked at the bottle of pills in his hand.

"Phalanx, that's a new one." He said noting to himself that the label wasn't nearly as official as the others.

Chloe listened half-heartedly to the conversation, perking up somewhat when drugs were mentioned.

"Me? Didn't do much, just show up a few guys, nothing special." She felt somewhat bad, sounds like the others had more fun than she did... hopefully she would have more chances to fix that...

While the others talked of enemy officers and nano drugs, Monica kept herself entertained by simply relighting a lighter, letting the flame go for a few moments then letting it be snuffed out. She let herself be entranced by the flames, paying only minimal attention to what the others said, though getting the gist of it. In truth, she had only seen a little of the matador's ability to resist damage and no sign of what caused it, so she figured she didn't need to respond to the topic, unlike others who had more of a firm grasp on the situation that was in play then. Still, she figured that she ought to say something anyways so, without looking up, she said, "Sorry, but if this nanomachine drug thing was around in the first building, then i couldn't see it after the lights went out."

"Drug thing...?" Deegan muttered at the developments. He never thought to guess of Matador being under the influence of something more. He just assumed the guy was just that way naturally. "Oh! I think Ricky was the same way too! I shot him in the knee, but he got up and ran off like it was nothing" Deegan blurted out, wondering if the occurrence could've been related. His grandmother on the other hand, let out a heavy, frustrated sigh. Sonia looked worried. "Oda's playing all the goddamn angles..." Granny muttered. She stood from her stool, and addressed the crowd.

"The Yakuza's biggest head, a very powerful man by the name of Tenshiro Oda, once commissioned for an all powerful super drug, one he'd hope would enhance one's overall strength, speed, and durability. We only heard news of it years ago, with the impression that it'd never come to light. But if anything, the stuff y'all are talking about only tells me that they've managed to make something work. Why'd he give some to high ranking Conquistador lieutenants is beyond me." Sonia was inquisitive. "Perhaps he were using them? Sold the drugs through other people, and watched from a distance at the results of the consumption? Like a field test."

"I could see that." Granny replied with a nod. "Either way, a lot was accomplished today. The Conquistadors have been significantly crippled, and the remainders are beelining straight for the Royals. If we get lucky (and if Roberto plays it smart) those two gangs could cancel each out, and be gone for good. You being there turned out for the best, Deegan." She gave her exhausted grandson a brief smile. "As for everyone else: Wonderful work. Today's actions have instantly set a fire through the gang world. And for now, all we need to do is lick our wounds, and watch. We'll target another one, but for now y'all need to rest."

"We just finished cooking." Sonia piped up. "Yup. So eat up!" Granny added. "Work's over for the day. If you don't gotta place to lay low, I have extra rooms upstairs that you can use for as long as you want. Make yourselves at home." She smiled.

"That makes sense." Milli said, speaking up from her place by the counter. "That way if something went wrong, it would be just a bunch of Spics, and not his own crew." Her own attention was a bit divided as something delicious smelling was wafting from the kitchen.

"Work's over for the day. If you don't gotta place to lay low, I have extra rooms upstairs that you can use for as long as you want. Make yourselves at home."

"Well thanks for the invite Granny, but I think I'll go and have a shower first, before this Conkie starts to spoil other people's appetites." She said, motioning to the blood that'd soaked most of her clothing. Getting to her feet, she head out to her car and towards her nearby apartment.

The prospect of a home-cooked meal as opposed to another batch of take out or microwaved dinners was tempting for Daryna. It would provide nice change. But I no sleep here. I have thing to do. After seeing Millie take the offer of a shower first, Diamond had to agree. The car ride over was severely tainted by the smell of the heroin-laced blood.

"I will stay for dinner since it is offered," she told the two Sinclaire women. "I could use good meal after fight like that. But I will not stay. Give bed to others, I will go back to my place to rest and do research on any movements by rivals maybe."

"Alrighty. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute more to the next operation," Richard said, standing up from his seat with a yawn. Hopefully those damn Russians would be next after those Yakuza. He owed them one for running him outta his livelihood, among other things.

"Work's over for the day. If you don't gotta place to lay low, I have extra rooms upstairs that you can use for as long as you want. Make yourselves at home."

"Please don't touch the second door on the left, though," He added, addressing the new members of the gang. "That would be my territory. The name's Richard A. Ward, by the way. Pleasure to be working with you! If I'm around and not busy, you can pop on in if you want to chat, or whatever you feel like." With that done, he took the papers from the counter and stuck them into his pocket. He figured that he should read up on them and see if he can find anything important. Might take some time, however. The man could not speak a lick of Spanish.

"Well, i don't think I'll need a room, my brother should be picking me up soon...but i'll take some food. I've been starving.", Monica piped in, just now realizing how hungry she was. She didn't think of how long it had been since she had eaten, sometime in the morning last she checked. Heck, the only reason she did remember was because of the heavenly aroma she smelled, wafting from the kitchen...certainly better than the usual fast food smell that usually wafted in from home. Speaking of home...

"Um...also, where do you want these?", Monica said slipping off the Det cord and satchels and holding them up in her hand. "I can't exactly take these home with me currently."
