That morning, Chloe awoke with a massive hangover. Moaning, she rolled over. "Ow... what did I do last night? Oh yeah..."

She rolled out of bed and went to get some aspirin, pausing only to turn on the news. The television droned on about the attack on the compound yesterday, making Chloe smirk. "Ah, always nice to know I'm making a difference..."

After a quick shower and getting dressed, Chloe headed out to the shop, the memories of the previous day rolling around in her head.If that's the kind of thing we get to do, I can't wait to see what's next!

Chloe pushed the door open and stepped inside, looking at everyone who was already there. "Hey, am I late?"

Dinner was...uncomfortable. Sure things started like it seemed any American family meal would start up, at least if what TV had said was true, but by the end, things had devolved somewhat. Daryna didn't contribute much. Between the lack of perfect English and the hunger she felt after a long day of being battered and shot at, there wasn't much reason for her to talk. Some of the others got called out, no doubt in relation for some of the events that happened earlier. Baba's kid wasn't exactly in the best of shape when the group got back. It was no concern of hers though. After eating, she thanked the family for the meal and drove off back to her home in the Beach district.

Her night was...boring, compared to the earlier events. She settled in with a glass of wine, watching some Netflix. Slava called in around 8:30, wanting an update. He wasn't pleased when she told him the bodies were left abandoned, but said that problem was fixable. Aside from that, it appears only a couple of Baba's recruits had been claimed by the fighting, and that there was talk on moving on one of the gangbangers shortly. That seemed to please Slava enough that he only made one lewd sexual remark before Daryna respectfully bid him good night. She shook her head as she went to her bed with a bottle of vodka, eager to try and wind down.

That morning...

She had left the TV on. That was silly, but it gave Daryna a chance to view what the local media apparently though of their handiwork as she woke up and grabbed a coffee. She knew the damage was bad, but she had no idea just the scope of what the rag tag bunch of wannabe mercenaries were able to do to the Towers. It was the last sentence that surprised her though. "No visuals! Hah! Stupid Gringos must have been scared. Of course everyone who saw me was dead."

Her phone buzzed twice, another call from Slava. "Fucking come on Slava! What are you my fucking dad?" The irony of that statement was not lost on Daryna but she answered the phone anyway. "Yes, Papa?"

""No visuals eh? I must say I am impressed you were able to convince the Babushka's kids to be so ruthless in silencing witnesses."

Daryna laughed. "Well, it's not like it was hard. The only one who saw one for sure is Roberto, and he got out of there."

"And thanks to my brilliance, we have the other phase completed as well. The body of the Matador will make a fine study to figure out what those Gringos were on."

The blonde's eyes shot wide at this revelation. "But how? How could you get that giant slab of bear chow out of there and not have the cops figure out a key person was missing?"

Slava laughed as he took another draw off his cigar. "Your friends left enough body parts around to construct a passable replica in his vehicle. He always took such pride in that inferior muscle car of his. So Vitaly and Sergei picked up the body while Katarina torched the car. She was so happy-sounding when she came back."

The mention of that crazy slut Katarina made Daryna's blood boil enough that the coffee was reheating itself. But she wouldn't dare express displeasure directly to management. "I'm glad she was able to enjoy herself last night." As opposed to her normal nightly activities.

"I will let you know once we find out what the Spaniards were pumping into themselves. If you can aid in acquiring more, there may be a sizable commission in it for you to go with your promotion, Diamond."

Daryna gave as fake a smirk as she could. "Thank you, Papa. You flatter me."

A cough sputtered over the line. "If you have time, you should come down buy the club. I'm sure your presence will light it up a little. Maxim's been complaining he doesn't get to see you anymore and has to look at Ilena instead."

A little bit of vomit rose in Daryna's mouth. "Tell Maxim I send my regards, and if my work on Baba isn't compromised, I will see about coming down."

"Well, here's hoping it's not. Fare well, Diamond."

As Slava hung up on the other line, Daryna held her head as all of a sudden the pain of the vodka remnants hit her. Or maybe it was just having to talk to big old Slava. As much as she didn't want to leave her apartment today, she probably would have to just to keep up appearances and avoid giving Maxim a chance to grab her ass again. Sighing, she went to the bathroom to try and freshen up before a brief spin down to the bakery.

Granny looked on as Millicent walked out. "Poor girl." She muttered with an unsatisfied sigh and disappointed head shake. "Her pride's gonna get her killed one'a these days. Didn't even have the decency to apologize." Sonia was a little hesitant to reply. "But...I mean...she's always been like that, Ma-" The comment led to another chance for Grandma to erupt, yet, she managed to keep her composure...mostly.

"I don't care, Sonia." She interjected through gritted teeth. "You can't come into someone's house and disobey their rules, talk to them any ol' sorta way, 'specially when they're paying you. I don't care how much power you think you have, you can't do that. I won't let you do that. Not in my presence." Granny glanced towards the restaurant entrance once more. "I hope she doesn't talk to her parents that way, I really don't." Granny made sure to keep her voice low as she vented, yet there was still enough of a angry twinge that managed to cause the dining room to quiet down. With another sigh, she headed back into the kitchen. "Don't worry Monica, I saw you come in." She brushed past the girl as she crossed the threshold, setting her serving tray down near the sink.

"You look very pretty in your uniform, honey." She complemented softly, setting up plates for her cooks to set food onto. "Did you eat yet? Make sure you get something to eat before you go." She tended to the girl, straightening her uniform, smoothing out her hair. In those moments, it almost felt like she wasn't someone's cold, unforgiving, hardass boss. It almost felt like she was someone's...dare I say...grandmother. A polarizing sight for all, no doubt. Soon she recollected her serving tray, and headed back into the dining room. She had customers to serve, after all.

"You're gonna take her to school, Deegan." She replied, setting down a plate as he saddled up to the bar-like counter. "Come over here and eat, Monica." She gestured. "I am?" Deej replied, mouth already stuffed with food. "Yup." She shot back. "Cooool~" Even barely audible, he didn't seem to have a problem with that.

"But you're only dropping her off. You gotta come back afterwards." Sonia added. "What? Awww. Why?" Deegan asked, understandably disappointed. "Because ya got things to do today boy, that's why!" Granny shot back. It sounded like it was the end to that particular conversation, so he went back to eating his breakfast.

"You look very pretty in your uniform, honey. Did you eat yet? Make sure you get something to eat before you go."

"O...Okay, I will. Thank you." Monica said, feeling a bit odd that Granny was dotting on her like this. To be honest, it reminded her of her aunt, doing the same dotting whenever anything big was about to happen, like her going to her first day of school...well, considering she was going back to school, albeit for different reasons, she guessed it was somewhat fitting. Still, it was a bit weird for her, her boss acting more like a grandmother to her than a boss, but it was also comforting in a way that wasn't so prevalent in her life anymore so she didn't object. Instead she headed over to the counter, where Granny had motioned to, and snarfed down the food set before her. It's not like she was going to pass up on food after all.

After she finished eating, she got up and walked over to Deeg, saying, "So, i'm done. Arw you ready to go?"

David had pretty much passed out after dinner, finding the first place he could sleep without getting in trouble. He woke up feeling much better than he had when he fell asleep. Taking the usual round of drugs, Phalanx included, and he found he was able to actually walk under his own power to the main area. Just in time to hear the shouting match and ensuing fallout. For once he kept his mouth shut as he poured himself a cup of coffee, not even bothering to say good morning at the moment, knowing the best thing to do right now was largely remain unseen. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that due to a combination of his being able to stand and his particular loadout from earlier, that he might end up in the firing line as well.

Though unlike the previous person being chewed out, he knew that to smooth things over he'd be better off just taking his lumps and keeping quiet about how he felt it was the right thing. He hadn't many many brave enough, or more likely dumb enough, to try and talk back. Miracle she walked out without a scratch at that.

"Goddamnedmotherfuckingsaggytittedoldfuckingraggityassbitchsucking ****!" She fumed into the steering wheel as she drove. Who the fuck does that old bag think she is? That dried up bag knew EXACTLY what she was getting when she hired me, but nooo still had to ***** when things didn't go as she envisioned. What fucking fantasy world does she live in? Stopping mid mental rant, she chuckled. "Right, one where the Sinclair Family matters...HA!"

Pulling into what would best be described as a 'greasy spoon' diner, Milli headed inside. As she entered, she saw a group of Royals sitting in a booth; one of the, kept looking at the register. It's far too early for this shit. She thought, checking for her CZ as she sat as far away from the group as she could...she didn?t want to be in the 'splatter zone' when they did something stupid.

""So, i'm done. Are you ready to go?" Monica asked, causing Deegan to give brief glance from his plate. "Huld uff, amulst (Hold up, almost)." He stuffily replied, mouth almost brimming with biscuit and sausage. With a gulp, a satisfied sigh, and a thanks, he turned from the counter. "A'ight, i'm ready. Let's rollout!" He proclaimed, proceeding out of the store's front entrance. "Hurry back please, we don't got all day to be waitin'." Granny called out behind him.

Outside, Deej gave brief pause to the sight of his jalopy's interior. Seemed through all the hustle and bustle of the day prior, there were blood stains caked upon several surfaces. Mostly on the seats. "Sheesh." He grimaced. As the driver's side door creaked open, the stank of copper seeped out. "Welp, that gives me one reason to come back immediately. I gotta scrub my car out." He mumbled as he climbed in.

"Welp, that gives me one reason to come back immediately. I gotta scrub my car out."

"Well...i guess it's guaranteed to be something we'll remember to do next time." Monica said, with a look of mixed nausea and relief that she wouldn't be the one doing the cleaning. Still, that didn't help with the fact that she had to get into it in its current form, blood stains and all. She wondered if how that would look, her being driven up in a rusting jalopy with blood staining the inside...well, she guessed that she'd have to avoid drawing attention to herself even before she got into the schook then.

Opening ther door on her side, the wall of copper stench didn't hit her as hard as Deegan, but it was still prominent enough for her to take immediate notice of. Looking through the car to Deeg, Monica had a thought and asked, "Hey Deeg, can we keep the windows rolled down? I don't think it will carry a good impression if i got to school (can't believe i have to freaking say that during summer) if i go in with clothes reeking of blood."

"Oh, yeah." He replied, his engine sputtering to life. "I don't think I'll be there long enough for anyone to notice the smell." He looked back at the girl after buckling himself in. "C'mon. I don't wanna get in trouble if you end up late." He quipped with a smile.

Uh, that's not exactly what I meant...eh, screw it., Monica thought to herself, figuring it was too much of a hassle to explain it again. With that thought in mind, she hopped into the passenger seat and followed Deeg in the act of putting on a seatbelt. "Alright, let's go. Onwards to that special hell that is Summer School...by the way, what do you think Granny's going to have you doing when you get back?"

"Something chore-related, most likely. Something to be swept up, or some dishes to be washed." He assumed, starting down the street. He chuckled a little as he gave brief regard to Monica's comment.

"I'm surprised you even know about summer school! You don't really seem like the delinquent type." He smirked.

"You don't need to be a delinquent to go to summer school. Being inattentive can work too, especially when it's used as a threat to make you focus on your failing grades instead of your boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend. Still, it will be the first time i've actually had to go." Monica said, nonchalantly, starting to accept that fact.

Deegan chuckled again. "If anything, it'll be the first year I don't have summer classes! Heh...eh...algebra's a *****. And biology...social studies...physical education..." He chuckled again, and let out a contrasting sigh.

Monica chuckled abit too at that. Somehow, it made her feel a little better, knowing that someone else had also gone through this. Still, she doubted that Deeg had the same experience that she was going to go through.

"Yeah, Algebra especi-hey wait, how did you fail P.E.? Social studies i can get, biology too, but P.E.?

"Uhhhh-oh hey! Check that out...we're here!" It was hard to determine the specifics on how they got there, maybe Deegan was going just a bit too fast, or perhaps the school was closer than anticipated, but the ol' clunker indeed pulled up to the location.

The Sylvester J. Superior high school was never easy on the eyes, especially during the last few decades. The tasteful graffiti arts of various gang fueled acts lined the three stories of the school's outer walls. Along with busted out windows, a litter covered campus, and beyond unruly kids. Quite a few of them looked to be attending, which would make one wonder if anyone passes their classes the previous semester. It was hard to determine if anyone of the students could even be considered "kids".

"Ah...I don't miss this place." Deegan said with a false smile. "Welp, have a good day!" He quickly added.

"You have no idea how much i envy you right now." she muttered to Deegan, staring at her school again. It was still as "pleasant" as she remembered. Then again, it wasn't hard to remember since it had only been, what, a week or two since she was last here? Still, whatever reservations she had with this place, she had a job from Granny, so it was probably a good idea to see that through. Reluctantly, Monica opened the door and got out, giving a small wave to Deeg while she did so.

"Alright. Well, see ya. Hope you have a better day than i'm going to."

Closing the door, she turned towards the school again, sighed once it came into her view, and walked forward. Hopefully this would just be a one time thing.

As the Marussian SUV barreled down the streets of Billboardsville, Daryna's attention drifted away from the road a bit as the buildings slowly passed by her peripheral vision. She tilted her head to the side before quickly straightening it back up. Hmph. Neck still hurts from lummox pounding me into drywall. Least bastard is dead... A sigh escaped Diamond's lips. Should I even have gotten involved with this gang war in the first place? Money is coming in decent. I don't know why I risk to run with kids and babas. I might be getting greedy in all this. Daryna had to swerve to avoid running dangerous close to the sidewalk. "Sheet!" She exhaled again as she steadied her ride. Too big problems to be thinking about now.

The old lady's restaurant came into view a couple minutes later, right after Daryna shook her fist at a careless pedestrian. She parked her massive vehicle, ignoring the meter beside her. Most of the meter maids in the city avoided any non Japanese/American/German cars for fear of reprisals from the gangs, so there was no need to cough up any coins. Diamond inconspicuously walked into the restaurant, it seemed deserted for this time of day, although why a place like this wouldn't have a viable breakfast option was baffling. The Sinclaires seemed to be preoccupied with things as no one was around. "Hmphf," Daryna harumphed as she took a seat in the back. I guess if no one here, make for good hiding place. She pulled out her cell phone and stumbled through her Twitter feed as she tried to blend in as much as possible.
