Move on
Jason watched unneasily as this "Butler" came into the room. After listenning to what he had to say, Jason thought long and hard. Then he looked at the Butler. "Excuse me, Butler. What kind of games will these be?" Jason asked calmly. He eyed the gun in Jon's hand. Jason had no doubt in his mind that one of these people would crack. It was only a matter of time. Whoever had that gun controlled the group. This Jon guy seemed hard headed, a real 'get it done' kind of guy. Jason figured he would crack when shit hit the fan, and Jason did not want Jon to have the gun when that happenned.

"I need to get that gun" Jason though to himself. "The sooner the better"

"Now that we're all awake, follow me"

The Butler turned on his heel, ignoring the other requests that were made. Some of you were hesitant at first, but it seems the only way to get out of this dungeon is to follow the twisted Butler.

You travel up a winding stair case, built with the same smooth stones as the dungeon but soon it lead to a beautifully carved wooden door, which swung open without anyone appearing to touch it.

Walking through the door, you find yourself in the front hall of a beautiful mansion. The walls are white and gold, stunning portraits of people and landscapes are hung on the walls, with exotic potted plants and a brilliant chandelier hanging from above.

There is a set of hallways leading left and right as well as a large centered staircase that leads upstairs to the second floor.

Despite the beauty of your surroundings, your attention is drawn to the glass wall and doors that lead outside...

The sky appears to be a light green, pulsating slightly in the light of three suns in the sky. They are all on the edge of the horizon, making it ether duck or dawn. Strange blue and green vegetation grow outside twisting and growing at impossible angles.

In the far distance you see buildings reflected in the suns light, tall towering skyscrapers, some with large chunks missing and other looking incomplete

The doors leading outside are glass as well, with a large golden key hole attached on each door.

The Butler ushers you all into the Main Hall

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Mansion. This is the starting point of your journey in the Dark City, a ruined city that lives between the various dimensions of our cosmic universes. You were brought here for one reason; to make it to the tallest tower in the Dark City and escape through the rift at the top and return to all your respective destinations of travel, but you will all have one wish granted upon your leave"

He paused for a moment

"You may be wondering the reason why you were chosen and all it came down to was being in the right place at the right time, which in this case would be, being at the airport this morning. And as for the reason for this journey...lets just say powerful beings of the higher dimensions get bored so they enjoyed fucking around with the lesser dimensions. Now, if there are no more questions, your first job is to find the keys that are hidden in this mansion. Any questions, just ask"

Do you:

A) Ask more Questions

B) Up the Staircase

C) Down the Left Hallway

D) Down the Right Hallway

E) Search the Main Hall

(Sorry I'm so late to reply, I only just logged in.)

Gregory had just awoken when the Butler arrived. In his sedated state he was having difficulty taking it all in at first and simply followed the others. He had listened in confusion wondering what's going on.

"This all seems slightly too unbeliveable, it sounds like something Lovecraft would dream up."

Gregory reaches into his jacket and takes out his hip flask, taking a draught to calm himself. "Why should we trust you anyway?"

The Butler shrugged his shoulders, but it was so stiff it looked more like a spastic jerk

"What other choice do you have?"

Audrina looked at the key holes warily from where she stood. Something seemed off about the whole thing, and there had to have been a bigger catch. "What's stopping us from getting out all one door and to the end? That's a lot of wished to grant." She said, sarcasm from lacing her words trying to hide the true motive behind them.

The Butler smiled cruelly

"You are in a new world Audrina Fisher. Who knows what is out there...waiting"

Gregory looks oddly at the Butler's strange jerking motion.
"Ummm, any chance of a sandwich? Or a nice cup a tea. Have you got a kitchen?"

Still smiling, the Butler motioned to the Left Hallway

"Just go that way"

Gregory's face brightens. "Oh great! I love a nice kitchen. You know they say you can tell what a person is like just by what they're kitchen is like."

Gregory starts to walk down the left hallway, talking out loud to himself.

"Anything"

The Butler replied

"But..."

He raised a finger

"Word them carefully"

His answer made her blood run cold. 'Things out there waiting for them', if this was all just entertainment to some then they must have a twisted sense of fun. "Hey Jeeves, you got a library around here someplace?" she asked sticking her hands in her jacket pockets. He had said they were going to the city that meant that they would have to navigate their way around. There was no way she was going to be caught without a plan out there. If they had a good enough libraries in the mansion they might have some sort of layout of the city she could use. She started to let her eyes wander, taking in the main hall they were in. She was looking for anything hanging on the walls like a coat of arms with a sword she might need later. She did not want to give away what she was doing incase the others caught on and left her helpless.

"Alright, next question: What are my limitations of exploring this mansion, and what are the limits of this realm? What is keeping me from just hiding in the mansion, letting the rest of the group clear my way to the tower?" Jason asked. He doubted it would be easy as that, but he figured it was worth finding out what the rush to leave the mansion was.

Finch lit another cigarette. His eyes were lost in quiet concentration, oblivious to all those around him.

Anything, but word it carefully...

Those words rang clear in his mind. He was so sure that nothing in this world would seem how it would appear. There was danger here, for sure, and it was only a matter of time before that was proven. Still...

"Janice...we could be together. No complications..."

He looked over at Audrina, a smile now replacing his furrowed brow.

"Audrey, feel like letting me tag along with you? Yo, AskJeeves, wheres the library at?" he asked smugly. No matter what, tere was no way this guy was going to diminish his sense of humour.

Sebastian thought for a moment.

Anything you wish.. if you word it carefully... I could get my family back! But ofcourse if you asked for "I want my family back" you'd get a couple of corpses.. "i want my family back alive" they'd be sick, and "i want my family back alive and well", that could work. But then again, they couldn't know you. Or you'd get the wrong family.

For now, a drink would be nice. And if there's a first aid kit in the kitchen, it could be nice.. There should be some painkillers in there... My heart's still hurting like hell. Painkillers are always handy. Something tell's me i'm going to need em..

He ran behind Rachael and the other survivor to the kitchen. "He, wait up!"
