The title is the only reason why I bothered to finish Final Fantasy XIII. While it wasn't a bad game, I just wouldn't have bothered to finish if I hadn't dropped $40 on it.

So my question to you is this: Have you ever had a game that you played through, no matter how much you didn't want to, just so it wouldn't have been a waste of time or money?

Ugg, yes. Section 8. I got it in a bargain bin at F.Y.E. for 5 bucks and I still felt preasured to complete the damn thing. The campaign was just a tutorial for an empty multiplayer. But I was horrified to admit this. I am a huge Halo nerd and this game was somewhat just as good (for goofing off.) or better than halo. Basicly you were Master Chief on even more steroids. But I digress.

Half Life. I found it in a used game store for £8, not a great amount to blow but I didn't like it, only reason I beat it was because I owned the Orange Box and wanted to play HL2, might as well have not bothered since you can pick up the entire story through exposition during the first 5 minutes of 2.

I actually haven't, although I almost did. Got Banjo Kazooie N&B and Viva Piñata TiP with a controller for $46, used the games as trade in credit towards Bioshock, so it ended up being worthwhile after all.

Not so far, but I don't buy a whole lot of games. If I don't like it, I just sell it off to someone else who will hopefully like it more than I did.

I've bought some bad games, but I didn't feel like I was slogging through to get to the end. I played to the end of Spore, but at the point I still like it. I'm able to finish bad games while I'm still in the blissful period of tolerating their flaws in order to complete the game.

Fallout 3 strangely enough. Playing that game felt like a chore rather than a joyous romp through destroyed terrain wielding weapons of ridiculous power. As a side note: All of the gun manufacturers in that game should fire their designers as paper mache glued together with string cheese does not make for a strong weapons.
