Well I just broke up my 11 month relationship

So yeah, she just broke up with me. It doesn't matter though, she's homophobic, I'm bisexual, I'm falling for another girl. Don't worry about me. So the discussion value: How are you doing in your current relationship? Are you happy?

Edit: Yeah, when she found out she tried to talk me out of being bisexual. Also she didn't like the "kinks" I had. All my friends say I looked gloomy with her anyway.

My girlfriend is amazing. The only thing wrong with my current relationship is the fact that she lives more than 6000 miles away. I miss her so dearly sometimes, but we can make it work. This Christmas, I'll get a "present" better than any I've ever gotten.

I'm currently... Well, I'm not sure what it is but we talk on the phone pretty much every night for hours. She works pretty far away but it's seasonal so she's only there for the summer. She's coming back next weekend. We've got a full day planned. It's a date. We've both used the word enough times to confirm that. I really like her, and she likes me. We just need to work through the whole long-distance thing a little longer. So yeah, I'm pretty happy. I'm willing to ignore the fact we haven't seen each other all summer. I just like talking to her (I usually hate phone conversations because I suck without body-language) so I'm gonna see how things play out...

She would want you to be happy. Take as much time as you need before trying to meet someone new. You can always love her and still make things work with another girl. I have a couple young widow friends and it's hard to see them going through this. One has married since that loss. She always says that the pain never really goes away but you can and should love again.


OT: I recently started dating again after a year and a half of being single. I didn't think I'd want to be in relationship for a while because my ex-boyfriend made me miserable. The guy I'm dating now is very sweet to me and I'm glad to have in my life.

Got together with a close friend of mine, and treated me like crap.

I've had some awful experiences with relationships as of late: a few cheating girls, a few psychotic girls, and then one who was great in every way except that she's moving and doesn't want a long distance relationship or hang ups so she broke it off early. Needless to say I'm still pining over her while she's already over me and talking with some guy in the city she's moving to.

I haven't exactly lost all my hope in dating but I'm not exactly brimming with optimism.
