Well I just did something really fucking stupid.

Because our washing machine is broken at the moment, we go to a local laundromat for all our clothes cleaning needs... However, this ONE time I may or may not have accidentally left my leather wallet (complete with two credit cards, £100 in cash and god knows how much in coins) in the back pocket of my jeans.

Now the worst part is that I actually told my mum all my clothes were empty before we took it because I didn't think I was actually that stupid I would leave my wallet in my jeans.


So for discussion value, have you ever done anything like this? Or what's the most insanely idiotic thing you've ever done?

Don't sweat man, I've lost two phones a passport and washed a dozen wallet that way. Worst part was I did those myself at home so yeah, I've learned to check my pockets before sacrificing more to the washing machine.

Clothes-wise? Lipstick......in the dryer. That was pretty stupid of me. I was being lax with my pocket checking. I double-check everything with pockets that goes into the washer and dryer now. lol

I got a brand new cell phone in high school. The third day that I had my cell phone I brought it to school because I would be staying after and would be needing it. I got to school and realized that my jean pocket was too small to fit a cell phone in and I reasoned that if I put it in my bookbag it would be crushed or scratched up. So I put it in my locker. It got stolen and I never saw it again. That, by itself, was stupid but then I had a similiar problem with my brothers old IPod Nano that he had just given me. I put it my locker, hid it behind jackets and books and by lunchtime it had been stolen.

I'm too neurotic to leave anything in my pockets, but I did once punch through a window after thinking:"I wonder if I can punch through this window?" Turns out it hurts and you basically can't use your hand for several days afterwards.

I've also washed an iPod, very embarassing but it happens to the best of us.

Suprised the hell out of me when it still worked afterwards though. Screen was screwy but if you could visualise the menus through the ticks it was fine, you just couldn't pick anything specific. It basically devolved into an iPod shuffle.

I said this the last time int he You Done Goof'd thread:

I was playing in our hockey tournament and went to have an epic swing at the puck to clear it from our zone during a penalty kill, and I didnt see quite were the puck was, because on the back swing I scored in our goal.

... the gaming losing goal. I honestly debated whether I should even bother dressing for the next game.

The only other thing I can add is that a few weeks before that (in a game during the season) I took a puck to the back without wearing padding. My back felt fucked up becuase of it, so logically (to me) I thought, hey, I should just get someone to hit me in the same spot with a puck. So i did. And it actually fixed my back.

Other then that, I've raced trains, played with acid, and shaved my arm with a circular saw (not too successfully too, since I almost severed my left hand off).

My current wallet has survived five washing machine attempts it looks more like a clump of dried leather now, happens to us all can't count how many times I've had to call my bank for a new debt card loosing one somewhere.

I once left my wallet on the tray when I went to McDonnalds, I threw it away with everything left on the tray before I left. A few hours later I was in the back of the store looking through the various trashbags until I found it.

I tried that once except the window was plastic so the window didn't break but my hand nearly did.

I forgot that I was getting a ride and walked home once. I got a call about half an hour after I got home asking where I was. That was fun to explain.
