Well its looks like Male Commander Shepard's out of the closet

Well the male one is anyway but yes it looks like Shepard is going to have a gay romance option for male sheps and that sounds cool to me I was always wondering where are the gay guys in mass effect they got lesbians but not gays it just always felt out of place does this mean that previous squad mates will also turn because I read somewhere that it'll only be previous romance options available (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/110063-Its-Old-Flames-Only-in-Mass-Effect-3-Says-BioWare)

Apparently that's not true after all:

Some game sites saying "previously straight chars now available for both m&f chars" not necessarily true. Will have some new LI's in #ME3

It takes him goddamn forever to express interest in femShep despite the fact that she practically throws herself at him in every conversation. I suspect he only finally gave in because she was commanding officer, the same is likely true of Miranda. Also, he has serious daddy issues and spends all his time in the weapons locker (or closet).

Oh, I didn't mean that it was true of Miranda's relationship with male Shepard. She definitely likes dudes (but still could easily be bi without a huge suspension of her character). My point was that Jacob's past relationship with Miranda was likely forced (by Miranda) and he only did it because, like femShep, she was the commanding officer at the time.

Also, I said this in a previous thread, but feel the need to reiterate it. As of now, male Shepard is far less believable as someone gay or bi than any other male character. At the very least they need to improve the dancing animation. He dances like an uptight Southern Baptist minister. While dancing terribly is fine for a straight dude, there's no way a guy who dances like Shepard is even a little bit bicurious.

Personally, I'm really happy with this. While my own Shepard is heterosexual, despite my own homosexuality, I appreciate and approve of the option considering the game is so set on giving the player as much freedom as they can.

I'm also happy they don't have the intention of suddenly turning all of the characters from the previous games bisexual/gay. Though... they can go ahead with Garrus. Hell, my heterosexual Shepard might just leave Liara for that. ;D
