Well of Souls

(This is my first real thread so pardon if I'm a little scratchy)
You know, nowadays as all of these fancy-schmancy games become increasingly more sophisticated, we lose track of the little things in life.. And by the little things in life, I mean classic games like Well of Souls.
Many of you probably don't know of it or have heard of it once or maybe even used to play and no longer do. I feel that as a lover of this game, I should get it some notoriety.
Well of Souls is an MMORPG that could be lightly described as a point and click hybrid. Well of Souls, in itself, doesn't necessarily have a plot on its own, so for those who enjoy deep and invasive stories, this might not be your kind of game. What it does have, are appealing simplistic graphics, customizable character skins, customizable class system, a very unique and creative monster and explore system, with its overall look and theme being a high point.
But what am I? I'm just a fan attempting to try to talk about a game I love and most likely doing it no justice in the process. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if I at all piqued your interest, I'd say give this game a chance. Who knows.. maybe you'll like it

Basing this entirely off the front page, its overall look and theme is generic fantasy land done in MS paint. Everything else you listed are aspects of every MMO.

I can't speak for the rest have never played it, but the graphics I find far from appealing. They are butt ugly, messy, inconsistent and just really really bad. I'm all for a game that has a stylized aesthetic but that is just freaking ugly. As ultrachicken said, it looks like it was done in MS Paint

The graphics aren't appealing and simplistic, they are a clusterfuck of ugliness. At least that's what I gathered from the first few screenshots.

Otherwise, it is generic looking and unappealing.
I'll stick to my other free MMO's, thank you very much.

...Appealing simplistic graphics? Appealing simplistic graphics would apply to VVVVVV, not that horrendous eyesore.

It sounds like any other MMO's claims, but with complete inability to back up the visual claims, at the least.

Me too. It wasn't great, but the fact that it was completely mod-able was pretty cool. For example, it came with a set of avatars for your character, but if you had an image you preferred, you could just use that. It also had a cheat mode that brought you straight to a maxed out level, but didn't let you PVP unless someone else attacked you. I remember it being really bare-bones, though; think the original Dragon Quest, except without any kind of a main quest to go through. You just go around whacking monsters until you get bored.
