You ever do something, then something really bad happens, and you just freeze for a second, and think "Oh shit!"? Well... That just happened.

My laptop screen broke, as I was adjusting the angle. Now, there's a great big black spot, which is spreading out it's limbs like a virus. You every see a virus just start reaching out, and consuming more and more, like in anime, or a game? That's pretty much what it's like.

I was rescuing some kids from a river and then I fell in. It was glacial runoff too so it was 32.4F, there was high wind, and the silt made one gallon weigh about 11lbs. I literally stopped swimming and said, "Well shit. Wow this is cold. Ok back to it." I was wearing a PFD so all was good. Only got minor hypothermia, but I got those kids across that river.
