I suffer from migraines. Frequently. I get one almost everyday. As a combatant to the pain, I carry a supply of Excedrin around with me at all times. Now, it just so happens that a rather bad migraine hit me during work, which was from 5:30 pm to 12:30 am. So, in order to be all that I can be at work, I took four Excedrin to knock my migraine out of the park. It worked. Big time. Since one of the main ingredients in Excedrin is caffeine, I am now wide awake at ten after 3 in the morning.

So what does this have to do with anything, you're asking? Well, my answer is: nothing, really. However, I was wondering if anybody has done any related stupid stuff like that before.

Doing something 4chan told me to do....as you can see I am not that familiar with the site. I am stupid, I know, I know, thankfully it didn't do any damage other then scaring me.

Being awake for prolonged periods, I sometimes get insomnia, I just deal with it until I get sleepy enough to actually fall asleep (not for lack of trying during the waking periods) longest i've been awake in one go is 4 days and it sucked hard.
the insomnia thing doesn't happen enough for me to make a huge deal about it, and my doc basically told me to take over the counter sleep aids (most of which are also pain relievers which i don't need), they only sometimes help though, so I just deal with being awake.

*edit* I know not really part of the main topic, since it seems more about being too caffinated to sleep, which truthfully coffe makes me sleepy, even the starbucks coffees which have twice to three times the caffene than a normal cup.

This.

I also drank 10 shots of espresso in less than 2 hours (my record for a full DAY at that point was 6). My heart didn't stop racing for hours, and I didn't sleep that night. Made my friends happy though. I was so damn jumpy.

Just looked that drug up, not sure how that would help with a full on migraine. Though on a related note I once took Solpadol, drifted off to sleep for all of 20 mintues, got up and immediatly took another dose without noticing the time.

Wasn't the most fun experience in my life.

Pulled an all-nighter, only to go sleep over a friend's house. Needless to say, we didn't do anything since my dumbass knocked out for 14 hours. Woke up, said hello, packed up my clothes and went home.

If you're getting migraines every day, you really should see a doctor about that, it could indicate a serious condition.

Other than that, a couple times before I've drank late into the night. The problem is, alcohol makes me hyperactive and keeps me awake (as effective or more so than Caffeine) and it dulls my perception of time. Point being, one night I didn't realize how long I'd been drinking and stopped around 8 am the next morning; I also had to get up at 10 am, and couldn't get any sleep. So I had to operate the day on no sleep while drunk. It was a very bad day...

I frequently fly into fits of violent anger and break things (like our TV remote....TWICE), only to regret it once they've passed.

a few years back I had pretty bad stomach pains so i took 2 co-codamol (super strong painkillers) but I forgot what time I took them, so an hour later (I thought it was 2 hours later) I took 2 more. then my stomach pains got worse so I took 2 more.

I ended up in hospital peeing in a cup.

fun times.
