No offense to your friend, but I think she's wrong. Sure, my girlfriend frustrates the hell out of me sometimes, but by god she's trying her hardest to be better. It's not as if I'm a perfect specimen of normality either, and if I can't tolerate the faults of others then it's unfair for me to expect them to tolerate mine.

After three catastrophic failures in just the past six months for the very reason Susan stated, I'm thinking I should listen to her. You should too, because the broken ones will only cause you trouble. You owe yourself better (and so do I...better at giving good advice than following it...)
You seem like a nice guy, and I'm sorry that your love life sucks lately. However, it's my experience that broken or not, women are going to cause you trouble. Remember the sane girl I mentioned? Well, the reason she left me after two months was so she could date a guy over the internet who lived in Finland! At least with my current crazy, neurotic girlfriend I know that something like that isn't going to happen. She may be frustrating, but she's loyal to a fault and she genuinely loves me. I'd take that over a "normal girl" any day.
