And I choose to shoot you in the head.
Nah, actually, despite what Penny Arcade [http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/9/21/] tries to convince me of, I find Heavies a lot easier to shoot. Even with a Medic it just takes one fully loaded headshot.

Honestly though, it depends on the game. I'm often a Medic in Brink and Bad Company 2, laying down covering fire while helping out my teammates. In TF2 though it bores me, even though I once made a pretty decent Medic.

I do the killing.

The rest of the team just follow in my wake, medics and all. x3

Nah, in seriousness medic is just really dull for me.

C&C Renegade + ETQW + TF2 + Brink Medic here, healing others + killing people who don't see an attacking medic coming is awesome.
I am guessing the Renegade part was long ago?
If not, how?
Yeah, that was years ago... I miss that game.

The two main class based games I play online are TF2 and BF2. In TF2, I prefer to play scout, but I'll play whatever is needed by the team. This occasionally means I play medic, and it's something I'm not all that bad at. In BF2, I tend to play AT unless something else is specifically needed. On the rare occasion that I play as a medic, I suck.

I thought this was going to be entirely about the Medics in Bad Co 2 :(.

In Bad Co i'm typically sniper, but if I have to, I'll go medic with an M14. No one ever sees it comin!
When I played TF2 I was sniper 90% of the time. The other 10% I was a medic..

So yeah, almost the same for both :p

I know exactly what you are talking about!

I hate BEING the medic though, yet its the one thing that keeps us from fucking losing! Its so annoying that no-one but me realizes that we are losing, and I have to play as a class I hate just because I want to win.

Thank GOD Bad Company 2 allows me to swap my guns (I don't particularly like LMG's, despite LOVING machine guns)

Medic used to be my class of choice on BC2, but I've since embarked on an insane quest to get gold stars with every weapon... stuck on sniper rifles at the moment, any gun that requires pinpoint accuracy just doesn't sit well with me.

Most class based shooters and most MMO's I always choose the support role. My logic is, if I'm sucking at the other classes, at least I can still be of use to the team.

Though I don't really play that much TF2 or any FPS anymore with medics, I normally played as one when I did.

MMO wise, I love to be a support class on the other hand.

"Oh you can kill people? I can bring the dead back to life!"

I'm pretty good as a medic on Resistance 2. What does help is the "phoenix perk" which, if assuming fully charged, allows you to come back from the dead. Basically you get to single handedly save the day as a medic and bring back and entire team from the dead.

I had a level 46 Healer in the MMO 2moons. Other than that, I never really had much good come out of playing as healer/medic.

i play around with medic when i occasionally get bored with my main classes(spy, sniper, demo) and am pretty good at it, there's something just so satisfying about taking some one down with a hail of needles when they write you off as a nontherat, that and rolling is with a heavy bro and werking said shit of the other team.

I always choose medics in games. Like in Bad Company 2, so satisfying to hold a position and keep laying down the health packs until the other team gets fed up and airstrikes the place.

Im a medic and always have been a support class type of guy. Its always scary seeing a medic lead the charge mowing down enemies and healing his comrades.
