Can we stop this? No matter how many threads, no matter what province is said most, Bethesda will decide in the end and no amount of talking about it is going to change that. We have at least two years before the next one comes out. This is the tenth thread I've seen about this.
True we can't know, however in many of Bethesda games, depending on lore they put it, they put strong hints at the next areas they are considering, or content. Example in oblivion, we kept hearing about troubles in the Summerset isles and about a uprising, come Skyrim and we got the Thalmor. In Skyrim they have described Elsweyr and Valenwood a lot, such as talking about the walking city in Valenwood having taken root for the first time since the dawn of time, and the kahjit explaining the layout of there land, and about the "vast buried cities underneath the sands". I am in favor of the Valenwood/Elsweyr combination, as both countries are relatively small, and they have connecting lore because it is said Elsweyr is a barren desert because the kajhit angered the goddess of the forest, and she awarded her favorite children, the wood elves, with the lush forest of Valenwood. In addition to the Thalmor basically taking control of Valenwood, so the story could have two or more focuses, such as the Wood elves fighting to reclaim the forest from the Thalmor, and then the mystical story could be about the goddess and curse she place on Elsweyr and this somehow relating to the giant tree city that was moving since the dawn of time stopping.

Personally I don't think there is much chance of black marsh, as only a little lore about the place is know, and no new topical events have come up in skyrim about it. All we know is is dangerous as hell, has really deep swamps, and is rumored IN GAME to have a species of sentient trees known as the Hist, and that some argonians worship these trees. Only story I can see is the trees deciding to go genocidal, and you must become the legendary histborn, and fight off their army of tree hugging hippies(I apologize for the very very bad joke)

Morrowind. That is the only province anyone ever needs. Ever. No debate.
Honestly, with all the locations in the Elder Scrolls, why would you want to go back to a province that's already been done? Sure, it might have been great, but rehashing the same map would be the lamest decision ever.

From Deserts to tropics to high mountain ranges, that would be an amazing sight to see. A sort of Arab feel to the game, like how Skyrim was vikings. Large cities with a Middle eastern theme, and apparently the Redguards are very strong and warlike.

Next location, you say? It needs to be in Hammerfell. Why?

Because they've got curved swords there.

Curved. Swords.
Phhooaaar, look at the curves on that one, eh?

I think I'll probably like anything they throw at us, but tropical surroundings would be nice. Perhaps a climbing mechanic would be cool to get into trees and jumping about.

This is really bugging me, the title should be *Where should the next Elder Scrolls province be. Where as in "where is the party?" and were as in "Were their werewolves?"

And Redguards would be like "Did you see those warriors from Skyrim? They've got straight swords. Straight. Swords.

I also want to see Hammerfell. Or a province in Akavir. We don't know much about Akavir, besides that it's heavily influenced by medieval China and Japan. I'd like a setting like that. I've always been fond of Far East.

i find it hilarious that you made a mistake in your example while chastizing him for his mistake.
"were there werewolves?" is what it should have been.

OT: put me down as another vote for Elsweyr and Valenwood, with the focus slightly more on Valenwood to keep Elsweyr a mysterious and alien place.
