I suffer from mental illness and so my parents had to put me into state's custody when I was 12 due to insufficient monetary funds to get me the help and therapy I needed. So bullied in school? No. But I was bullied, sexually assaulted, and robbed in a group home because the girls' thought it would be a big hoot. To this day I believed that only a few members of the staff gave a shit and tried to help but they were shot down because the main people who were in charge had enough bad reputation with this group home as it was. Which they did because apparently the group home was closed down not too long after I was sent off to the mental hospital because I was quote "too difficult and emotionally unstable to be kept in the group home's environment."

Errday.
It stopped my junior year of high school. Maybe it was sophmore...around that time period.

In kindergarten - first grade I was beaten everyday.

Nope. I am a wrestler, golfer, and class clown.

High School has been a pretty easy go for me, at least socially.

Plus, I go to a private school, so there's a lot less bullying going on anyway, since the average student is much smarter then your average public school lug.
this is both stupid and Snobbish. just sayin.

Yup, to the point where i'd have knives thrown at me in class. Then they'd laugh about how I beat the crap out of the person who did it because i have anger problems or some such nonsense.

I wonder if it ever occurred to them that I don't like it when people endanger my life.

There was one guy who tried to bully me when I first came into Highschool. Main reason I assumed was I was the whole stoner look going, Kurt Korbain hair hoodies, baggy pants and always looked stoned. But this one football player, a junior tried to punk me out by dunking me into a trash can, the tables got turned and he got a broken nose. Everyone left me alone then in that aspect.

Then I replayed the scene out when I was a senior, and dunked a freshman into the trash, because he jumped on my back and was trying to choke me out.

Fun Days..

I used to get picked on pretty bad in High School (ages 11-16 over here) Once someone slammed my head against a wall because I was sat in 'her' seat.Me being uber-badass (read: Bloody stupid) I laughed at her for overreacting, I got my arse handed to me.

That was before the days where I kinda just ignored them. I had good friends who were bullied mercilessly as well so we just kinda got on with it. It was mostly just being made to feel like a total waste of space but there was the occasional thing, someone threw a bottle of D Pepper over me and my friend for...some reason...and I got hit a couple of times but people at my school were idiots and now most of the people who picked on me have shit lives and or in prison/pregnant/druggies etc etc - I think I won in the end ;)

I love that some people have taken this thread to declare how they are all tiny-bruiser underdogs. Guys, just stop it, there's no shame in it, it wasn't your fault; calm down.

In 6-7 sure. Then in 8th grade everyone was more friendly for no reason at all. I came into high school with a new attitude about myself and other people and then I became the bully. Nothing physical yet and I don't do it out of revenge; I just get irritated more easily with every year so it's entertainment I guess.

Cant say that I was ever really bullied in school. I think it was mostly because I dont take shit from anybody. If you piss me off I will let you know I am not going to go hide in a corner and cry. Those who do get bullied get bullied because everybody knows they are to spineless to ever stand up for themselves.

To sum things up if you dont want to get bullied then stop being such a spineless wimp and learn to stand up for yourself.
This, and I'd also like to add to all the anecdotes of violent reprisals against bullies that you don't have to be violent to stand up for yourself. From upper-school age onwards there were very few attempts to bully me, despite both my best friends being bullied a lot more, because I was too proud to give in and I refused to be goaded into any reaction and since most bullies in my school were too chicken-shit to actually start a fight, attempting to bully me was comparable to trying to bully a talking alarm clock. Pointless and no fun.

I suppose it could be called bullying...though it probably had a lot to do with me too. I was really introverted (and still am,though I'm finally comfortable in my own skin) when I was young, and overly sensitive. It was typical grade school childish bs,but it really got to me, so much so that I was a whiny little prick all through middle school. I was overly quiet, overly sensitive, and was overall a real dick to people when they didn't deserve it. Sometimes I'd mistake sarcastic remarks for serious insults and get all weepy eyed at it. Now I'm a senior in high school, and I really regret letting that shit get to me, though I'm not sure if it would have made a difference, me knowing then what I know now. So yeah...childhood trauma builds character, I suppose.

Nope, exept for the one time where the older class clown grabbed me and shoved snow in my face and jacket. I cried but it was somehow amusing.

Reminds me of the time when my best friend was a complete dick for no apparent reason and i decided to compliment his behavior by chasing him full speed through the entire school

Which was rather dramatic since there was several steel doors in the way

Up until Freshman year, I was the main bullying target of the schools I went to. Then I and others grew up. I've had some issues with kids during Sophomore year, but nothing huge. I started wrestling and lifting weights and I think the kids who have bullied me I could wreck. I wouldn't do that, though. Nowadays, I just have people who don't like me, but this is a fact of life. I'm not a popular kid, though.

Oh and i love the hero story's, funny stuff. if things got physical they would be over VERY quickly. thats why i was suspended and expelled a few times.
Not everyone you pick on is a doormat. Keep that in mind.

I got attacked a few times in school, and I won. The secret: I don't fight physically, I fight psychologically. And I fight dirty.

make my body burrrrrrrrn
I dont care how psychologically people fought me, i won.the secret. im not an idiot drug dealing fool with an iq of 80. i was smarter than some of the nerds i bullied.(123 iq, last time i was tested. so not exactly brilliant but not a brick either.) and if anyone got too smart i would kick the shit out of them. its hard not to fight physically if someone attacks you.
You can talk yourself up all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that I made all interactions bullies had with me enormously unpleasant. And that they left me all alone. Dumb or not, I don't think you would have taken me. NO ONE ELSE did, and I doubt you're all that special. (If someone attacked me physically, all I had to do was latch onto their ear and not stop screaming as loud as I could. Ten seconds later, scuffle ends in a draw.)
IF you got my ear, and thats a BIG if you would find your self screaming for different reasons. trust me.

the first time i was expelled i was attacked buy a guy with a knife.

he was VERY lucky i didnt make him eat it. he was bigger than me and had a knife and that didnt end in a draw so dont tell me someone whos tactic involves grabbing my ear would do better.
This, of course, relies on this being real, and not a power-fantasy brought on by the anonymity of the internet. And now that I've stepped back and thought about it, I'm thinking that's the most likely answer. Little bits of your story just don't add up.

Yes, but I always took care of it in some way or another. It was never a long, ongoing thing. I was lucky.

lol. i dont have any time to tell you my life story and you think i believe all the people on this tread, that the nerds rise up and people who never throw a punch in their lives can smash anyone they want. its good to think of what would happen if I was the bully in the real world
No, you made it clear that you don't believe many of them. But quite frankly, your stories are less believable than theirs. I've seen small people turn around and rip flesh from a larger tormentor, I've not seen someone get expelled for defending themselves in a knife fight (nor, for that matter, even winning bare-handed in a knife fight).

people were smart and left me alone.

few that came close ended up in pain.

be careful who you bully.. the quiet ones often harbor far greater violence than you can think.
