Very well then.

Morning rises in a beutiful, golden radiance above the peaceful, remote town of Briarwatch. The air is warm and dry. The sky, soon to become bright blue. A very nice day indeed, considering that it came after such a terrible night for everybody.
Especially the police. Not one, but two people have been brutally, violently murdered last night. First ones after many, many, many years in the peaceful town of Briarwatch.
Tyr, the meystirius silent guy from down town was reduced to a pool of blood on his sheets.
The teenager known as "Cokesy" suffered a similiar, if less pretty, fate.

The light of the sun was already blinding as the boy slinked out of bed. The night before had utterly defeated him and his fears were soon to be realised. One of his friends lay dead, and the youth wouldn't find out for some time yet.

His first concern was his father. Jon charged out of the bedroom in search of the figure. He found him asleep in his own room. Oh thank God... The father and son had escaped injury, though the same couldn't be said for the tavern. It was as he remembered it from last night. Completely ripped apart by the monster. Wood and brick lay about the entire room and he couldn't have found a single thing had he spent all day there. He went to find out if the rest of the people had fared any better than himself, starting first with Jess.

I can't remember, so I'm gonna act as if it's the weekend until otherwise informed

Also, I'm gonna assume the Briarwatch has it's own local radio station

Jess woke to the sound of her radio, and even as she listened groggily, she picked up a worried note in the presenter's voice.

"...Some people are claiming this is the work of Werewolves, with which the town is apparently cursed. The bite marks to both the man and the boy..."

She jerked awake suddenly. Werewolves? Had something terrible happened? She got dressed quickly and went downstairs to find her parents and brother still fine, and immediately dashed out to find out what was going on. She had to find Jon!

Tis Saturday I believe.

He made his way to her house, seeing each house on the way. Some were completely destroyed, others had escaped unharmed. The park was in a bad way, swingsets mangled and twisted, roundabouts ripped from the ground, the tree, where his sweetheart and he had sat the night before this had happened, emblazoned with a large claw mark across it's trunk. He went to touch the tree, running his fingers across the mark. This... The thing that attacked me must have made this...

"Jon!" He turned swiftly to the voice's source. "Jess?" She ran to him, tears streaming down her face, and hugged him, "I... I can't believe it..."

He returned the hug, embracing her softly. In truth, he could never believe it either. Not even the sights of this morning and last night would force him to believe.

Alastair left his car and walked into the newspaper building, whistling a nameless tune that he had whistled a hundred times before, before he opened the door he flicked his cigarette into a bin, smiling as it made a fantastic arc before landing soundly in the bin.
"McGuinnes! Get your British ass in here now! You've got work to do!"
Sighing, he pushed Brian Thompson's door open before sitting down, his body feeling as though he had been running through the night.
"A few people got killed last night Alastair, and i want you to cover it, talk to some people, dont care who, just find out what the hell happened out there! it looks like a bomb's just hit!"
Alastair nodded as he left the building, bidding farewell to the secretary who was filing her nails in between making phone calls, he lit another cigarette as he opened the door, sighing to himself at his new assignment, he knew it was going to be along day, definitely so if he didnt even know what the hell had gone on during the night.

Once again:
"It's 8:00 AM and it's beautiful day to be in the lovely village of Briarwatch. This is your local radio, broadcasting the best news in your neighborhood. The weather seems to be fine for this day, with mostly sunshine and a dash of mist coming towards the evening, temperatures to be nice and warm all day."

"This radio channel really is starting to be a pain, lord knows why I keep it on this channel of them all-"

"However, unfortunately there has been news of some terrible muder occurings last night." Frank paused in thought at this. "The bodies of John Cokes and Tyr Ellington were found dead at their various homes last night. Their homes have been investigated by the police and although there was no comment made on who the suspects, comments were made of the areas being in a bloodied state upon arrival, and rumors have started to spread of werewolves coming out, people turning to the famous curse of old mentioned in the town records. Here to talk about the situation are-" was the last thing Frank heard before he switched the radio off.

"Wow. Any other town would've just said another serial killer but werewolves? Sad situation and all but that is a creative suspect theory." He rose up from his bed and went down to the kitchen, where he brought out a bowl of cereal (What type of cereal it was he couldn't remember, nor did he care) and ate his breakfast. The rest of that morning wasn't really that significant either, so he didn't bother trying to remember it either.

He ran down to the shop, as usual and followed his usual routine to the dot, including falling asleep at the counter until the first customer arrived at the store.

Tradition is tradition.

Alastair finished the tea in the polysterene cup he was grasping like his last grasp on reality, the cigarette perched in his mouth moved up and down in relation to his breathing, the ash on the end of it becoming more and more dangersouly close to falling into his lap as he drove, finally doing so after he turned a corner, causing him to curse as he turned the car off and walked into the corner shop, stubbing his cigarette out into nothingness before he went inside.

OOC I am assuming that there is more than one shop in Briarwatch, if not, then i will edit

Richard woke up in the morning, he must have fell asleep while on guard duty and look around. The place look the same as he got up and went upstairs. He open the door and his dog came out barking happily. Richard smile and told the dog to be quiet as he went downstairs, wrote a note to the owner saying he went home to see if any a miss at his house. He left the tavern and began his trip back home.

Marcus sat up in his bed groggily wiping the sleep out of his eyes. The sun shone through a window, forcing him to blink heavily while his eyes adjusted to the light. In the other room he could hear the sound of the morning news they were discussing the vicious murder of Cokesy and Tyr.

Thank God we at least made it through the rest of the night without further incident. Poor Jon, Cokesy was one of his best friends.

Marcus stood up and stretched before leaving the room and walking downstairs to the destroyed tavern. "My God this'll take weeks to repair, damned beasts." He looked around the tavern surveying the damage further, before becoming frustrated and leaving the building.

I need to talk to someone, anyone, to get away from this place for awhile.

Marcus walked along the sidewalk, towards Frank's store. He'd be needing to know that his favorite late night establishment would be closed for a time.

"...Dead?" Jon still held the trembling figure, even through his need to find Cokesy. Letting himself away from the embrace, he asked, "Are you sure?" Jess nodded, fighting back quiet sobs. "Who was it, Jess? Have they said?"

Jess stayed silent at first, before finally saying a single word. "Werewolves."

This new feeling was unshakable. He knew that he was lucky to have survived that night... This creature could be responsible for more deaths soon. Cokesy was dead now. Tomorrow it could be Jess. Or his father. Even himself. But if this was caused by werewolves the list of targets was almost as long as the list of possible murderers.

His father and himself were cleared. He was with his father during the attack. The creature would be human form now and perhaps with no memory of the night before. "We have to find the werewolf now, before it has a chance to kill again."

The change in Jon's voice surprised her, but more than that, it snapped her out of her fear and into action

"Yes," she agreed, "But how? Don't they look just like us?"

"I guess so... But perhaps they will have retained something from the killings or forgotten the entire thing." He sighed. Even as he was saying it he knew this was unlikely to do anything. "Someone might even have seen it. We have to at least try something..."

"Yeah. Should we go and... y'know.. pay our respects to Cokesy? Maybe we could find something out about what happened..."

Frank woke up in shock at the bell going off by the shop door, his feet kicking away from the desk in reaction. He almost fell off his chair as a result, just managing to regain his balance on his chair in order to avoid tipping over. He looked up in his dozed state at Marcus, who it seemed had a bad night.

"Hmm? You want anything, Marcus?"

Marcus looked at Frank, "Yeah, ya got in any Tylenol or Advil? I sure could use it after the night I had." He sighed and rubbed the back of his head, he had hit it against the bar when the beast attacked the night before and it was bruised a bit.

Frank looked up at Marcus fron the chair. "Uhh, yeah. In the first aid I think." he stood up, and walked over to the first aid box, before searching through it with his right hand, left hand in pocket, mumbling to himself as he reviewed the box:

"*mumble* Tylenol... tylenol- ah here it is." He said as he retrieved a small box with "Tylenol" written on it. He then strolled over to it and dropped it on the desk. "Want to tell me about it?"

It's quite hard to make these posts when I'm now placing people under different tags. Whether I think they're a werewolf shouldn't affect my character, but it does! Urrr...

"Of course..." He tried his best to retain a sense of sadness, but pure fear masked the first emotion. He knew what he would find and he dreaded it. The house would be ruined. And Cokesy would be... He shivered at the very thought.

He wanted to pay his respects to Cokesy, perhaps to find a clue to find his killer. That dark-red furred creature... But to go there and see what could have befallen him? A gargantuan task in his eyes. Jess dragged him slightly as they began to walk. Should he tell her about that night? Let her know of his fear? No... It would serve only to scare her as well.

I wonder how far I should pay attention to Jon's inner monologue?

Is this ok? (see below)

Jon's face flickered, and he was quickly in control, but Jess knew she had seen a glimpse of fear. For a moment she was uncomprehending, but then a thought came to her

If we go, we might find something, and what if it's something we wouldn't want to find? What if we see Cokesy's remains, or even find the monster that got him?

She turned to Jon, and asked softly "Are you sure you want to go?"

Yeh. That looks fine to me.

Jess wasn't worried. Jon could tell. Her eyes didn't flicker once and her voice didn't waver from it's usual soft intellectuality. But he was all over the place. He wanted to go for the clues it might provide and to respect his friend. But fear was stopping him. Fear that he would see what would have happened to himself.

He finally replied with a "Yes. I'm sure. If we can find and kill that wolf, we won't have to worry about it anymore." He began to walk with a bit more confidence in his decision this time. This werewolf... It could be anyone. Maybe I can figure this out on my own? Never have to let her know...
