The ever-infamous Westboro Baptist Church have recently put up a new site entitled 'God Hates Oklahoma', apparently blaming the tornado on the basketball player Jason Collins, a man with no apparent link to Oklahoma, who has recently come out as gay.

The site has been hacked by one calling himself Jester, or 'th3j35t3r' on Twitter, and has instead put up a page on the American Red Cross.

EDIT: The site has now been returned to a standard GoDaddy blank advertising page.

Nice job - props to Jester. It's nice to see that WBC will not be able to spout their hate speech unadulterated

When I first glanced at your post the words "God Hates Oklahoma" jumped out at me, and I thought, "Oh, that must be what the hacker(s) changed the site to say".

More fool me.

Usually hacking isn't justified.

However, hanging those fuckers publicly would be perfectly justified, so good on you.

Good on him, props to turning this into something that can actually help people instead of just the usual hateful bigotry by the Westboro Baptist "Church".

Its amazing that the unhacked page is what would usually go as the trolling page while the hacked page is the normal sensible one.

Good job, hacker

(Claps) Bravo good sir (or ma'am)! Normally hacking is a bad thing... but I can make an exception.

Here is an honest question I would like to ask. Why are we paying any attention to those people? They are the worst representation of the human race. I suggest we simply look away and pretend they don't exist.

But yes this was an excellent use of hacking done by Jester. These people shouldn't even have a website...

Fixed it for you. They are part of a church regardless if you disagree with them. Pretending they aren't will do more harm than good.

The Westboro Baptist Church still exists?
I hadn't heard anything about them for a while, so I thought they all died. Or got brains.
Or both.
In that order.
They died and became zombies and then got brains.

Or something like that.

Alas, it would seem that I was wrong.

Reacting to people like this is pointless. Seeing people lash out at their stupidity doesn't make them think "Wow, people are really mad at us. What are we doing wrong?" It just makes them think "Wow, people are really mad at us. What are they afraid of?"

That said, I'm glad he decided instead to simply make their site something productive rather than use this opportunity to mock them. I can certainly get behind that.

It would have been hilarious if he had linked to lemonparty though.

WBC are trolls and griefers of the most exquisite kind, I'm rather surprised they've managed to live through all the stuff they've been up to over the years.
