What 1 Game Would Have You Buy a New Console For?

Let's see...
Well it's that I don't have more funding for games.
But I'm pretty convinced I'd buy a console for playing Red Dead Redemption and Forza4/GT5

A portable version of Super Smash Bros. As long as the controls were as fluid as they are on the console, I'd buy anything to play it. Period.

All it would take for me to buy a Wii would be a Zelda game that uses graphics on par with (or better than) Twilight Princess and wasn't based on motion controls. The Zelda games on N64 were what made me buy the Gamecube once Wind Waker was announced, and I felt it was fully worth it when I played Twilight Princess. But when I saw the cell-shading in Skyward Sword, I basically thought "You're freakin' kidding me."

Though the hypothetical Zelda game would also have to have an intricate plot (without breaking the Zelda "feel") to make up for the fact that there'd pretty much be no other games I'd buy for the Wii.

Provided I could buy a physical copy of the game, they promised to add a little color and make it bug free, I would get a new console for Fallout 4.

I bought an SNES for SimCity.

I can't really think of anything that I'd buy a console for today however. I really can't. They're so expensive now, there'd have to be several games, or other reasons (such as the PS3's dual-purpose as a console + blu-ray player) for it. I would say "well maybe a portable," but I'm not really interested in a DS/3DS and the Vita's way too pricey. Don't think I'd want a PSP as with the Vita out support for it will drop like a rock.

Kingdom hearts III for sure, ore a remake of either FFVII or FFIX or Chrono Trigger wit updated graphics and added story elements. Or a Chrono Trigger/cross sequel.

Persona 4 The Golden. It's currently doing it's damnedest to convince me to adjust my budget to fit a Vita already, and it hasn't even been confirmed to have a EU release yet.

Luckily, the Vita is region free, even if region swapping is a bit annoying to do. That said, getting access to the PSP back catalogue as well as the other Vita titles is a nice bonus too.

Heavy rain was what I bought ps3 for out of curiosity.

I don't know when I would buy a new one but it probably wouldn't be for sequel to already established franchise.

Give me something new and interesting to play.

I bought a 3ds to play ocarina of time again.
I now live in the hope Majoras mask 3d comes out at some point.....

If it does, it'll be close to the end of the 3DS' life. Chances are they're holding that back for the sequel console though.
