I always hated 2 genres... those stupid games where a slight paper cut spurts gallons of blood everywhere, and fighting games...
... and then I played Mortal Kombat...

FFXIII was so dull, I died 3 times during the tutorial because it didn't explain crap to me.-Zen- said:I'm not a fan of JRPGs. They tend to be long and tedious, and I lose interest halfway into them. I couldn't even force myself to finish Final Fantasy XIII, which I genuinely liked for some reason I can't comprehend.
However, not only did the Chrono games hold my interest from beginning to end, I've played through both twice.
Just spam 'x'. You'll probably win.Judgement101 said:FFXIII was so dull, I died 3 times during the tutorial because it didn't explain crap to me.-Zen- said:I'm not a fan of JRPGs. Don't pick up Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. You'll be stuck playing all week.Judgement101 said:Early this week I asked for advice about a PsP RPG so I went out and picked up two games (and Halo: Reach, I know, my hypocrisy knows no bounds). I picked up Valkyria Chronicles II and Persona 3, both of which belong to a genre I hate. I started playing VCII at 3:30 P.M. and when I looked up next it was 3 A.M. and Persona 3....lets just say I never went to bed.
Discussion Value: Ever try a genre you usually hate but you ended up loving?
