What a TWIST!

My favorite twist is probably in Memento. It's not like an in your face huge twist like sixth sense or fight club. It's revealed in an almost matter of fact kind of way, but if you stop to think about it, it really changes EVERYTHING about the character, and what he has accomplished during the film. And the way the twist is the beginning of the story, but the end of the film (the story is basically told backwards) is really cool.

That documentary on butterflies. Who would have guessed that what I thought was it's head was actually it's abdomen!

Knights of the Old Republic probably had my favorite twist ever. I didn't see any twist coming at all, let alone that particular one.

The narrator's identity in [i/]The Somnambulist[/i]. I remember throwing the book against in pure annoyance that I didn't see it coming.

Excellent book by the way, I wrote a review about it for this site but alas, it died very quickly.
i had a similar experience while playing Assassin's Creed. They pulled the oldest twist in the book!
Woa woa woa, you didn't see that coming ?

O.O

OK Well admittedly I only saw it about a quarter of the way through and not instantly, but it looked obvious to me @.@
Interestingly enough, I had just finished playing the original Overlord back when I completed Assassins Creed. Overlord had the exact same twist ending as AC. Usually I'm good at spotting these things, but I really dropped the ball.

everybody ends up dead (except you).
Not true. MW2 has like 4 missions based around
you capture an oil derrick at sea and rescue a prisoner in a Russian gulag. OMGWTFBBQ is Price.

As for my experiences, it's that in FarCry 2, you see the Jackal, but no one else does. So, a nicely-edged theory is YOU are the Jackal.

Lol No worries I've had worst blunders

Like in Borderlands when
You open the vault and a massive creature came out and Tentacle impaled the opposing female leader. (Japanese influence? XD J/K)

Slevin is actually the son of the two people killed by Morgon Freeman and the Rabbi! That was cool IMO. Everyone loves a Kansas City shuffle.

i fucking love EisenHorn and Dan Abbnett He is a brilliant fucking writer, but i think the best twist is when Ravenor comes back, Or what happens to Carl Thonius in the Ravenor Trilogy
Worst part is, if you read Eisenhorn, it is actually expressively stated in there. And I still didn't see it.

Book: The jaw-dropper at the end of "Thr3e".

It turns out that the the main character, his best friend, and the main villain are all the same person, only the main character has schizophrenia and doesn't realize it.

Game: The twist in the last level of Second Sight.

The entire game is thought to be the present with flashbacks, but there's something off about it... because the game is ACTUALLY played from the present with PREMONITIONS.

Tales of Monkey Island Episode 4: The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood

Human LeChuck is evil after all! And he gave such a convincing performance as a good guy as well. He also revealed it at the most convenient time.

The anime, Vexille. Made by the people who brought you Appleseed, so you KNOW there's alot of story on. Anyway, the basic PLOT is that Japan's isolated itself from the world to experiment with robotics and cybernetics to a point way past legal sanctions. So, I'm figuring that this place will be the worst Skynet/Matrix-induced nightmare ever conceived.

Japan is DEAD. A total wastelands, leveled to a flat desert-like island with exactly ONE TOWN standing and the rest of it patrolled by vicious metal worm-things called Jags.
