The term "almost gives me hope in humanity. Almost" seams pretty popular around here. While we can agree that most of humanity is... less then stellar, what are the things that stand so far above, inspiring the rest of the species? What gives you hope humanity, more over, what actually makes you glad to be human?

For me, even when surrounded on all sides by idiocy, buttom lines, and investors demanding safe returns, that a former arm of Lucasfilm's tech department could grow through talent, vision, and pure determination could rise up through the ranks of computer animated shorts, commercials, and the best film run (in both quality and finical gain) possibly ever, to being incharge of the branch of Disney that once DEFINED the company.

The one hope. THE ONE HOPE i have left for the human race is Christianity. It gives me hope.

So what I'm Christian. I don't care if you have a problem with it, IT'S WHAT I BELIEVE IN.

Most recent Old Spice commercials. We are probably no worse than we ever were we just seem crazier, because we can see more of humanities craziness with the internet.

My only hope for humanity is that darwinism will kick in again so we can finally advance as a species.

I see so many shit happening now a days that I find hard to have any hope for humanity, but if there is anything for me to hope is people to realize that if we wanna keep living here on Earth
we need to stop thinking like "Find a balance between human and nature".

We are going to need some sacrifices if we are to keep Earth or humanity alive for a couple hundred years.

Really?

I mean...Damn, that's the FIRST time I ever heard someone say something to that effect on here.

Misericordia. and Habitat for Humanity. I help run stuff there, there are more teens than we know what to do with.

That's really heartening, especially since we take up 3-9 hours of their time each day. And I'm not even counting the kids who are required to have service hours for their school.

Choclate covered bacon.

Honestly though, it's the human trait of creativity. We can find our way out of anything.

Very little actually. It is hard to be a reasonably intelligent person... living in America... while retaining respect and hope for one's own species. I mean look at this article posted on this site that is linked to at the bottom of my screen even now: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/102654-McDonalds-Attacked-For-Horrifying-Marvel-Happy-Meals

Nothing. Im a misanthrope, and despite being a misantrhope with pretty high regards for himself and a select few people in the world, I hold no pretentions that humanity in general could ever rise to these levels collectively.

We are vermin and I hope we get exterminated by our own hand or a natural disaster of some sort...

I have a lot of hope in humanity. This is because every really does have a compassionate, kind side to them, no matter how much they've blocked it out.

We only had one hope, John Lennon, and he was killed. When he died, my hope dieded with him.

My hope for humanity is that we've come a long way and life is continually improving if you look back through history.

I really hate it when people say "This makes me loose all hope for humanity." I get that it's usually used in a sarcastic manner but it's still just self pitying emo bitching.

Hearing the fans "Dale Cavese" chant blaring out of the television at my hometown's football club (Stevenage fc) against Portsmouth last night. It makes me miss going week in, week out.

EDIT: Dang, forgot to add a video of it:
