What (aesthetically) is the most beautiful game you've ever played?

STALKER and Metro games have wonderful aesthetics that help so much with their atmosphere.

Persona 5 is just gorgeous. Even the basic menus are sylish and themed around the story.


Okami is my runner up, absolutely beautiful as well.

I ment to ask you in your Persona 5 Thread, but because I fear to see Spoilers, I never did.
So, in which system do you play Persona 5? PS3 or PS4? If it is in PS3, does it look really good?

These ones really hit the spot for me:

- Torchlight I, II
- Final Fantasy XIV Online
- Defense Grid: The Awakening
- Pillars of Eternity
- Trine 2

Dark souls and bloodborne.
Those games are pure scenery and design porn.

Not dark souls 2 tho, that one was disappointingly mundane.

Trine 2. It's simply beautiful to not only look at but to listen to and play as well. I love the first and third games but of the Trilogy, 2 is the one that makes me want to resurrect Roger Ebert and force him to watch me play lol.

I second Trine, but I think the third takes the 2D eye candy to a whole other level.

You're 100% right about Trine 3 man. I didn't list it because I haven't gotten into it that much yet but man, it really is fucking amazing. Ari Pulkinen's music is also the perfect match for the visual and gameplay design. Another thing of note is that the animation in Trine 3 is on another level, especially for Zoya. She makes me crave a castlevania game with a female protagonist that moves and works that lash like she does.
