I played Halo 1 as the first true game I ever got to actually play (before then everyone just let me watch while they played things like Mario 64 and such) and it blew me away. It changed my perception on the world and when I got a copy for myself I tried to call myself 'Trex' (being a dinosaur fan at the time then accidentally hit the wrong key and the misspell was so cool that I kept it.
I had been alive for a long time but that was the first time I started to live.

There was no more James Burnside after that night... from then on there was only Vrex. Then when I got my Xbox 360 it became Vrex360.

That's my history.

3 or 4 on my sister's SNES. Home Alone was the first, then Yoshi Cookie and Super Mario World. I played it more than my sister did, and my parents bought me a SNES for my birthday soon after. I remember playing Super Mario World and shitting my pants, and not caring because I was playing Super Mario World. Weird.

Ohhh this is tricky remembering that far back. But from what I remember it was the PS1 and the game was the very 1st formula 1 game I was around 4 or 5.

I was a year old and it was either age of empires, command and conquer, or half life. I can't remember which I first encountered, they all kind of came at once.

My first 'real' console was a PS1 and my first game on that was Heart of Darkness. I was 8 or 9.

Edit: Actually, now I think of it, before that I had a Sega Mega Drive (?) and, I don't remember what the game was called, but it was about some kid who had to kill monsters with his epic soccer skills.

I was five, Super Mario World, Street Fighter (I forget which one), and Legend of Zelda.

My first computer games were Sanitarium, Unreal, Diablo, and Planescape Torment

Gosh this ages me. I did actually own a ZX81 when I was 8 or 9 but the first meaningful gaming machine was the good old spectrum 48k. There were so many games for the spec it's hard to remmber the first one I ever played, but Elite, Jet Set Willy and School Daze were favourites.

Has anybody ever made a game before or since more impossibly difficult than Jet Set Willy?

Around 8, first played some Formula 1 racing game for the Playstation. Also got games like Colony Wars, G-Police and such a short time after that. A year or so after that, an uncle of mine gave me my first PC, complete with Doom 1 and 2, Quake, Hexen and Heretic <3
