A rule from the group I play with:

Rule 12. Colin is never allowed to play Chaotic Evil. Especially if Brian is playing Lawful Evil.

We ruined a quest by wiping out a village with fire magic and pointy death. Brian was a LE Mage and I was a CE half ogre meat shield for said mage. It turned into a game of who's a better killer and I apparantly play Chaotic Evil very well.

So Chaotic Evil. :D

Chaotic Neutral. I'll snipe the guy I'm supposed to OR the old lady across the street, as I prefer doing what I want. Appearantly, I'm not alone in this view.

Neutral Good, I would say, I'm nice but I hate some laws...(Like HW, it is the great evil. ;P)

Plus it just makes sense as the best alignment, IMO.

I'd fall somewhere between Lawful Neutral and Lawful Good, depending on my mood. I'm not evil, but I'm not sure I could always manage Lawful Good. I absolutely can't see myself as Chaotic.

Lawful Good, same as almost everyone else in this thread despite what they may think.

Lawful, though I may disagree with many laws, I follow them regardless out of fear of persecution/imprisonment.

To be neutral or chaotic as a lifestyle choice would not work in most modern societies. You would get arrested quickly.

Good, I care about other people. Yet, I won't go far out of my way to help anyone (unless they really need it).

To be neutral or evil would mean that you really don't care what other people think about you, or you want them to suffer. This kind of mentality is unnatural for humans (and most social animals) because it hurts the group. If you truly are non-good then you have an illness called anti-social personality disorder. Good luck with that!

chaotic neutral. Maybe even chaotic good. But I'm generally not that nice. Unless I really like you. Then I bake cake. And cookies if you're really lucky. The effort it takes to make cookies is incredibly underrated. You have to cut and ice them all individually. Like for instance. It took me 2 hours to bake three cheesecakes. It took me 5 hours to make 150 cookies.

I think I still have the badge that says my gaming personality, but I'm true neutral.

When I had too much time on my hands i once did a Facebook quiz and ended up as Lawful Neutral. But other than that I have no idea, though it does sound about right

Chaotic Good, doing what is right for myself and for others, even if it means going against the grain. On the side of justice, just like Light Yagami, V, Jake Sully and Celestial Being.

I'm neutral good. I also think that neutral good is probably among the alignments that most people try to be. I think as a culture we certainly encourage being of the "good" alignment, and I feel like we're told that we should have enough smarts to know when to follow authority and when to question it.
