I'd have one of those catfish that cause earthquakes in Japan. 'Bout time we had some seismic action around Australia.

Or a Mimic. And just sit it in the lounge room to test nosy visitors.

Remember the Woola from John Carter?
C'mon! It's a large, loyal super-fast pug-like creature. What could be better than that?

Well I personally love canine pets so I'd have to go with famed fallout companions, dogmeat and rex, or a direwolf from GoT. None of my dogs can kill a guy in my defense if I get attacked, so I want on that (in worst case scenarios) rip the throat out of anyone, while still being cute and friendly.
<---- OR catbug :3

I've always had dogs for pets, so doggies work for me. And since I've recently gotten into Animal Crossing, can't go wrong with some DJ K.K.

I'd take a Honkey-Tonker from Ni no Kuni. A little purple ducky with a trumpet for a mouth, and a piano-themed pop-up collar? Yes, please.

(Sorry, I couldn't find a decent picture)

I'm not sure if Twilight would consent to being your pet.

Especially not when she reads about this guy.
Jeah, with a sentient being i wouldn't call her a pet. Alot of fictional animals are sentient and i wouldn't call either of them a pet, that just sounds insulting when talking about a intelligent being (even if its fictional). I guess something like that would be rather a "regular" friendship.

PS to the link: I'm not really amazed. That's probably the umphtiest time someone had such a crazy fixation with "something" that he/she wanted to marry it.
Though those incidents always amaze me how the human brain works, that we're able to bind with fictional characters on such a deep level.
