I'm a guy, but have always been infinitely more interested in shoujo than shounen, and rarely find others of the Y genome that express the same feelings. That's par for the course, but I thought there would be more than just me into this. Are there any animes that you enjoy, but wonder why others don't?

I don't feel weird, but I remember after watching through Elfen Lied, I "became a fan" on facebook, to which a friend commented "lol excuse for watching naked women".

Pani Poni Dash. It's weird to say the least. It's random, has various video game and anime references in it and it made me laugh all the time.

It saddens me that I like K-On and Lucky Star and Haruhi and other animes that are for the most part about girls running around having womanly shenanigans. That being said all the aforementioned shows are fucking awesome and I won't deny liking them because manhood be damned, that shit is entertaining.

Also Ookami to Koushinryou (Wolf and Spice) has a pretty blatant romantic element but its still the best show ever.

Excel Saga. It just shouldn't be possible for something so random to be so awesome, and it makes me feel weird for being such a huge fan of it.

I feel a bit embarrassed for two animes I watch:

I feel weird for liking Chobits. My ex-girlfriend loved it and i ended up watching it out of curiosity. I have to say that despite being somewhat girlish it was a very moving story of trying to understand what exactly defines the human experience.

I would have to say i feel weird for liking Spice & Wolf simply because the premise is so deceptively simple. A travelling merchant ends up taking along a wolf harvest deity as a travel companion. There is no Big Bad, there are no villains, no action or anything like that. It's just Lawrence and Horo and often involves Lawrence being very clever in playing the market with his wares. It's an economical thinker anime with strong elements of drama. I ended up feeling very attached to the pair and it's definitely an anime that's really stuck with me, but i doubt anyone would choose to sit and watch it if it was mentioned. They'd either become too bored or just won't get it.

Rosario Vampire for me. Though in retrospect, I like the manga a lot more than the anime, seeing as how the anime was nothing but fanservice, and in season 2 censored fanservice no less.

Gantz... YAY! SEX AND VIOLENCE TO THE X-TREAME!!!!
It was the first anime I watched to completion so it has a special spot in my heart.
it also contains possibly the best Red Harring scene ever in any media.
The main character is in school and sees a kid getting stomped to the curb by some bullies, then enters this huge older looking guy who says "You better leave my student alone, unless you want to suffer" to which the main character stares wide-eyed at him and thinks "wow this guy is so brave I.. I barely know him, but I want to be like him"...
Cut to a scene of the guy getting his ass kicked into oblivion by all the bullies and the main character saying "Nice job getting my hopes up, asshole"

Of course I did, it was awesome.

My favorite joke in the series so far is when Sawa is telling her to take off the gym pants after her clothes dry. That was stupid funny.

Oh also B Gata H Kei is a romantic comedy but its also the funniest show I've ever watched ever.

I feel weird for liking all of them, pretty much. Almost all of them have some pervy scenes too, which doesn't help. So I tend to be pretty secretive.

Lucky Star. It's not amazing, but it definitely makes me laugh sometimes. XD
