I enjoy cute/kawaii anime most. The list includes Hanamaru Kindergarten, Mao-Chan, Hetalia, Lucky Star, Pani Poni Dash and so on.

I think the weird part is that I love Lucky Star, Haruhi, and Pani Poni, but find it completely natural to love those, as they are just plain funny. My "friends" (Some of the ones that watch anime) seem to be trying so hard to like those when you just have to look at how much it parodies its own genre.

Elfen Lied blew my mind when I first read it. And the second time as well.

I'm a guy, but have always been infinitely more interested in shoujo than shounen, and rarely find others of the Y genome that express the same feelings. That's par for the course, but I thought there would be more than just me into this. Are there any animes that you enjoy, but wonder why others don't?
I can understand this, as quite a bit of my anime collection would fall under it.[footnote]All demographics used are taken from their manga counterparts and may or may not be the actual anime's demographic. =3[/footnote]
Such as:

Crest of the Stars/Banner of the Stars (while it's not technically shoujo, the mind crushing level of character development steer it well away from a shounen in my opinion)

Maria-sama ga Miteru (Shoujo)

Vampire Knight (Shoujo)

Angel Sanctuary (Shoujo)

Trinity Blood (Funny one this, the Light novels are known as a male demographic, whereas the manga is Shoujo, not sure where the anime falls here)

X (Shoujo)

I could keep going forever, but that's plenty. =3

As for me? I actually enjoy the genra and everyone I know knows it. ^.^
There isn't really any anime that I feel weird for watching tbh.

Well, I don't know that I'd say that I feel "weird" for liking Clannad. Though, it's certainly not information I go about sharing too often... for fear of having my testicles revoked. Oh well, I don't care, it was a cute story and I loved it. ... please don't revoke my testicles.

Not sure if this counts but I really enjoyed the Halo Legends episode 'The Duel' even though by all means I know I shouldn't have given that it completely messes up the canon. My only guess as to why I like it so much is because it was the ONLY one that didn't have any humans in it and was focussed squarely on the Elites.

Death Note. I love that show, but it's awkward because all my friends think it's the dumbest anime ever for some reason.

I feel weird if I find myself liking any anime. It doesn't happen very often.
I need to be quicker at getting to threads. If you beat me to it, you've already said what I was going to.

But yeah, anything that I didn't watch as a wee fella', like Pokemon, Digimon and, at a push, Dragonball Z, I just get this weird feeling I shouldn't be watching it.

Most of them to be honest. My friends don't watch them (except for pokemon and digimon when we were all kids) so to them it's weird which makes me feel weird. I am glad I like them though.

I'm a girl, so I'm not supposed to like Blitz Tactics Najica; it's a Panchira (pantyshot) anime.

Ah... yeah... Yaoi...

My friend introduced me to Yaoi when I was thirteen. Like, hardcore yaoi. Emphasis on hard. When I first read it, I thought the characters were both girls.

I feel a bit embarrassed for two animes I watch:

You watched Sekirei? I don't know of anybody else who watched that show. It left you with the cliff-hanger ending but i don't think they will finish it.

I actually have several:
Lucky Star, PaniPoni Dash, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Karin(Chibi Vampire), Burst Angel

Most of them are awesome and don't regret watching, except for Burst Angel [small]oh god do I regret it[/small]

[sub]Then there was that time I marathon'd Rosario + Vampire...[/sub]

I wouldn't say i feel weird but one of the most out of place anime on my list of watched shows is Clannad ~After Story~.

It still remains the only anime to make me shed manly tears.

That makes four people now including me who I know watch that. They've started a second season now called Sekirei Pure Engagement as well that takes off where the first one ended. Only the first episodes been aired yet though.

Edit: Damn forgot about OT.
OT: Probably Kampfer, it's a pretty odd harem anime which I wouldn't likely show to any of my friends. Very funny though, and has a rather interesting plot.
