i recently watched death note live action film and i really didnt like it, however to be honest im not sure what i expected considering the length of the incredible manga series. so i was wondering what manga (or anime) would accumulate well in a live action format.

The Death Note movies were weird, and inaccurate, and made L's predictions and deductions seem even more random.

Personally, I'd like to see a live action Gundam movie...a good one...actually based on a series. So I'd say Gundam Wing, but it'd probably end up terrible and they'd never get Trowa's hair right. At least with a movie they could cut the last half of the series a bit short, which would be a good thing because NOTHING HAPPENS.

Cowboy bebop would look awesome in it (side note: where's my bebop movie!!! D8))

um... I think Speed Grapher would look good if you could get some nice effects for Suitengu and his abilities.

Full Metal Alchemists would be another, but again, the effects would have to look good.

mmm.... Cyborg 009, but thats showing my age.

So thats about all i can think of at the moment.

I think it would be awesome to see one, but they would probably do Mobile Fighter G Gundam movie. At least to start. It seems like it would have the easier plot and effects budget for a company to risk something on.

I think the easiest and best animes to put into live action would be Black Lagoon, Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. Nothing TOO outlandish happens in those animes that couldn't be replicated with simple live action as opposed to CGI.

Metropolis. It would look stunning.

You do know that that is based off a 1927 german live action sci-fi film..........yeah.

But anyways....I would like to see maybe a live action Darker Than Black because I think it would be easy...no weird hair, no giant robots, and no aliens or anything weird. Its all normal people with powers.

Um.... none! Crossing mediums is a very shaky proposition at best; and since most of the time we're not just talking about crossing mediums, but also cultures, it's just a recipe for disaster.

Ghost in a Shell, in 3D :D

That's gunna be AWESOME!!!

Gurren Lagann I loved as an anime, but as a movie I think it would suck ¬_¬, same with Gundam, too much money would be spent on special effects and not on character development and acting, losing the whole concept of what made the animes so amazing.

To make matters worse, both those animes are based on long archs, I wouldn't want them compressed into a three movie series and end up like Transformers, explosion fests and no logic.

As for Cowboy Bebop, Keanu Reeves......do not want!

I disagree with the Cowboy Bebop idea, since Keanu Reeves is pegged to be Spike. Do not want.
Well considering how often that movie has been delayed, who knows what's really going on with it?
