If I'm understanding the situation you're describing correctly, I think that's just a mental disconnect that takes a few seconds to catch up. You hear what the person said but you don't really register it straight away because you are concentrating on something else, asking what they said is just a reflex. As for shit I hate, one thing that REALLY bugs me is when you hold a door for someone, or let them get up and go before you on a bus/plane/whatever, and they don't say "thank you". I mean Jesus Christ people, the price of a little fucking civility is nada...

In this case, I can deal with stereotyping. It just pisses me off when people don't get it. I make it pretty damn obvious, but some remain infuriatingly oblivious. I don't want to have to tell everyone I meet that I'm gay so I just don't hide it but the select few that don't seem to realise just piss me off. I know it's kind of fucked up priority-wise but screw it, that shit pisses me off. Anyone who talks about Eminem, Lil' Wayne or Kanye West as though they're the new messiah. I respect their talent and ability, but it bothers me when people actively emulate them.
It's probably just my inner geezer that thinks all modern music is inferior to older music, but whenever a rap song comes over the radio I can practically feel myself getting stupider for having heard them.

People who complain about sequels and say "they are milking it" sure games like COD are milked, nothing much changes and it's just a re-skin, predicable story and all focused on multiplayer.
But for games like Assassins Creed, Halo, etc annoys me, as mainly they are sequels to explain a story, which you know...is kinda needed? Especially for fans. Halo 4 maybe a stretch, but we will see.
Also Screamo music...i know i'm going to get hated to death, but i REALLY don't see the point of roaring down a mic like your off Jurassic Park or something...
