Bard's Tale.

So much humor in a supposedly dark setting that you kind of stop seeing it as a dark setting.

I know you said you wanted something that's not dark but at no point in this game do you start to take it seriously.

Plus there's breakdancing zombies.

Well, I need to know some information first. Mainly, what consoles you have, what genres you like, and how light-hearted you want it to be (because there are a number of light-hearted, funny, wacky games that can deal with some fairly mature, dark stuff, like Deadly Premonition, No More Heroes, or Tales of the Abyss). Get me that info, and I can get you the names of some games, I guarantee it. :p

Any Dragon Quest Game. While the stories can sometimes get pretty heavy, the worlds are always bright and colourful and many of the monster designs will at least elicit a smirk (I love the Slimes).

Happy? Fun? OH BOY!

It's time for Persona 4!

The happiest game about murder ever made!

But really, it is fun as hell. I mean, when this is the walking around town music...

Also Bayonetta. It is just so much fun! Even when i'm getting owned on the harder difficulties it's amazing.

And maybe LoL if you don't run into the ragers and/or exercise the mute button properly. I'm having a load of fun with Warwick jungle lately... WW jungle = Easy Mode Jungle

Highlight of the day was when I Flashed a wall just to save our Ashe from their Rengar by ulting him. Get off my carry you rapscallion!

Warp.
You are a cute little alien warping around and solving puzzles, occasionally in ways that yield some rather interesting results for others involved.

Rayman Origins. With its beautiful art style and ridiculously catchy music, it's just a feel good game.

Also, someone mentioned Kameo, and i'd agree to the that as well. I feel its a very under-appreciated game, it has a lot of charm to it and it's only huge flaw for me is that it's just a bit too short.

Or if you want a shooter, Serious Sam games are great, as well as Bulletstorm if you don't mind linear design.

As for an RPG, Cthulu Saves the World is endlessly funny, and is a damn decent game to boot.

Rayman origins is pretty much happiness in a game :D. The awesome music and graphics, hilarious enemies, pretty much everything! It's hard to be sad while playing it. Although the difficulty really ramps up, so you might get a bit annoyed. It's still fun, but very difficult.

NIS games, especially Disgaea.

It is full of wacky humor. That said the plots do tend to get more somber and serious towards the end.

Escapists. Y u no say Pokemon?
Maybe it's because they're terrible?

EDIT: Yeah, the guy above mentions right with Disgaea. Only play the first one though. Stay away from any other Nippon Ichi games.

I apologize for the very late reply, but I have seen everyone's suggestions and I shall check out the ones I haven't played yet. Thank you much everyone!
