Batman: AA was well received, though not exactly movie based, just the license.
How was anything about that game Movie based? even the license?
Isn't the license basically Batman?

Some of the Starwars games and the Lego games.

yeah. if the license is basically Batman, that would technically make it comic-based, not film-based.

For my money, one I loved for a long while was The Spongebob Squarepants Movie: The Game.

It's not the best game ever, it doesn't have David Hasselhoff and only so much feels like the movie, but it's still got:

Jeffrey Tambor as King Neptune
Scarlet "I Don't care what you think, her voice is sexy" Johannson as Mindy
and Alec Baldwin as Dennis.

To get the cast of the movie and have a great game with a lot of fun behind it has to say something about it, and it ain't bad.

Capcom's Disney's Aladdin is a pretty good one too.
and though I haven't played it, the reviews for Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World The Game have been glowing.
On a related note, did you know that motherfucking Lemmy was in the film?
Only in Soundtrack, and I didn't know that. Makes it that much more awesome.

To be honest, I like the Genesis version of Aladdin more. The gameplay is a tad better and the visuals look much more like the actual movie than the SNES version.

The Aladdin game for the SNES was pretty kick ass, though that might be nostalgia talking.
Well, I tried it for the first time 2 years ago and I found it to be utterly awesome.

Harry potter 1-3 on PC 1+2 on GBC and 3 on the GBA they are very good games IMHO or it could be because of my rose tinted nostalgia goggles

Would anybody really consider Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 "movie based"? I enjoyed those. I mean, the dialogue was garbage, but I enjoyed the gameplay and story.

If you can find it there is a Rockstar made game on the original Xbox based on the cult classic The Warriors. Its a fairly mindless beat em up but has a surprisingly strong story, mainly because it has a pre-movie events campaign that's about twice as long. It holds up surprisingly well and really fleshes out the characters in the movie.

That means my mind isn't deteriorating to the point where I spew nostalgia laden shit.

Alright, I volunteer myself to be the UN Peacekeeping force, now we need three more members to mediate discussions. In the meantime, all parties will cease hostilities, and we will arrange for prisioner transfers under their supervision, and the relocation of refugees.

This might take a while.

Wolverine: Unleashed

I'll second this. X-men origins: Wolverine was probably the only decent movie based game I have played in a LONG time. Course, if you don't like what Yahtzee calls "spectacle fighters" you should probably stay away, but I had a lot of fun with it.
