Anyway, I don't see what everybody's problem with having "only" 512MB of RAM is; if you want a shocking specification, take this on board - among the five machines of my computer collection are a Pentium 3 with 192MB of RAM and a P3-era Celeron with... wait for it... 64MB of RAM. Seriously. It runs Debian Linux with FVWM. Because of that, it can do most of that office work that people buy dual-core machines before, and all because I use a proper OS on it.
And if you thought that was barbaric, wait until you hear this - I am in possession of a laptop with 4MB of RAM. Unfortunately, the hard-drive is currently inoperational, but before that, it worked. I want to get the hard drive working again and officially add it to my collection of machines.
