What are some great PS2 games?

I recently got my PS3 back from "the shop" and I started playing and realized that COD4 and Resistance were getting boring. Now, I'm generally pretty a pretty cheap person (Ignoring the fact I bought a PS3) and I wanted to buy some new games. PS2 games are cheaper than PS3 games of course, so I was wondering what the best PS2 games are.

Note: No RPG's or Gran Turismo 4 (I already own that)
Other Note: It's a 60GB ps3, It plays everything

The three TimeSplitters games were really good. You also can't go wrong with Armored Core games.

Ratchet and Clank series is phenominal IMHO

And defiantly some under dogs like Shadow of the colossus and Psychonauts.

Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, and either of the Katamari games will have you set up well for a bit.

Shadow of the Colossus is definitely a good first choice. And Okami is, in my opinion, the best game out there for the PS2. One of the best games out there period. And if you're into being scared out of your mind, get Silent Hill 2.

I'd pick up the PS2 version of Killer7 if you want something a bit different. Plus Okami and Ico.

XIII, all the way
The ratchet and clank series is golden and one of the few games I actually excel at.
I guess the SOCOM series is good too
and Sly cooper, I only like the first one becuase you really needed skill and stealth, the others had a health bar, that ruined it.

Some of these have been said already but I'll say them again to prove how awesome they are (in no particluar order):

Ratchet and Clank series

Metal Gear Solid series (I'd reccomend starting with the first one or it won't make a blind bit of sense)

Max Payne series

Mercenaries

Timesplitters 1 & 2 (I, like a lot of people didn't like the third one as much. Try it if you want though, you might enjoy it)

Okami

Hitman series

Resident Evil Code Veronica X and Resident Evil 4 (played in that order, or the controls of Code Veronica will seem very bad in comparison and you won't enjoy it as much)

All the James Bond games on PS2 have been good (APART FROM GOLDENEYE ROUGUE AGENT!!!) in my opinion. Especially the split screen multiplayer

Speaking of multiplayer, you will not find a more addictive game than Mashed. My friend almost lost his job once because we were playing it all afternoon and he was late for work.

Conflict Dessert storm 1 & 2 (but NOT Vietnam or Global Storm)

I would reccomend any of the Socom: US Navy Seals games, but I don't think you can play PS2 games online on a PS3, can you? If I'm wrong, then get it immediately.

My PS3 is a 60gb and can play both PS2 and PS1 games.
