-Silent Hill 2 (although I'd recommend the Xbox version if you already have a 360... just don't make more than one save file or the backwards compatibility will crap itself). I can't speak for SH 1 or 3, but I really don't think 4 is worth your time if you have a bunch of other games to be playing.
You know the Greatest Hits version of Silent Hill 2 actually has 1 more feature than the Xbox version? Surround sound, yes, you can play SH2 with Surround sound for more terror, so avoid the xbox one, avoid the problems, and get the GH one on ps2 for your ps3

Say what you Want, but '24' was a good game. Im a fan and the game stayed true to the show. Good locations, great plot and original fun gameplay. Must buy if you own a PS2

If you're also looking for PS1 games, regardless of whether you like Castlevania or not, get Castlevania: Symphony of the Night if you can (it's pretty rare, but worth playing if you can find it). Skip all the 3D Final Fantasy games though. The only ones worth your time are 4 and 6.
you can download it from the PSN network onto your ps3 and psp

Ah... lucky ba- , you! (that was close :p). In Greece you can now only buy a 40 GB PS3, so I won't have the opportunity to play on the black colossus any of these legendary titles:
1)Shadow of the Colossus
2)God of War 1,2 (the PS2 console at it's best!)
3)Destroy all Humans 1,2 (tell me you never wanted to turn the homosapiens into dust >:D)
4)Kingdom Hearts 1,2 (if the child inside of you is not dead)
5)Okami :)

You might want to try Metal Gear 2,3. If you've bought MGS4, these will make it easier for you to make out most of the verbal diarrhea :D

And If you want to be condidered a gamer you will try 1 and 5. Hope I helped

One of the main reasons I'd get a PS3 would be to play all of my old PS2 and PSX games. The only game my PS2 plays now is FFXI, and that's only if you go directly off of the hard drive. It started out not reading DVDs, then CDs, then PSX games. Now it won't even read PS2 games. I've cleaned everything hundreds of thousands of times already, and it worked for the longest time, but now the only thing that works is FFXI. Oh how I'd kill to play games like Armored Core and Dark Cloud agian.

Hell, that's another game for you: the Dark Cloud series. Oh wait, no RPGs? Well, it's actually an action-RPG like that Kingdom Hearts game. Depends on how you like 'em.

Actually, the Xbox version has surround sound as well. It's not commonly listed on the feature set, but it's there.

The ones I'd most highly recommend are Red Faction 1, The God of War games, and Black.

Armored Core series was pretty good, but the best one was the last one made for PS2, Last Raven. I'd also suggest King of Fighters 2006, which is a great brawler.

Not a lot of puzzle games mentioned, I notice. Puzzle Fighter and Spin Jam for the PSX, and The Next Tetris if you're a *tris fan. Also, Worms Armageddon is good stress relief (I have a post to edit now, curse you... me!)

If you're into CV, get Symphony of the Night (PSX) and Curse of Darkness (PS2). Lament of Innocence is hit-or-miss, though I don't remember specifically why.

Other PS2 games to consider are Atelier Iris 2 and 3, Guitar Hero 1, 2, and 80s (yes, I know it has no bonus songs and "Metal Health"'s guitar solo was neutered, but I don't care), Rez, We Love Katamari, and Wild ARMs 3 and 5.

I would also add viewtiful joe ( a nice action game)

Also the lego star wars series is also a nice addition to consider because of the multiplayer (2 players) and is one of the few 'fun' kids games. Also, its great for entertaining kids if they come over and want to play a game. I speak from personal experience because some younger cousins of mine wanted to play my ps3 and so I stuck in lego star wars to keep them quiet. Needless to say, it worked and they enjoyed playing it.

I also recommend tekken 5 or virtua fighter if you're looking for a 3d fighter.

If you're a retro gamer, I also suggest sega genesis collection for the ps2 (its got golden axe 1,2,and 3!)

I went out and bought RE4 yesterday, and I'm loving it! Very challenging (I actually had to restart because I had no good ammo or guns at the cabin defense area >_<). I know some people though that Timesplitters: Future Perfect wasn't very good, but how does its multiplayer compare to the other games in the series?

Hmm, what should be next?
Timesplitters
Shadow of the Colossus?
or Okami?
